23- Confrontations and revelations

"I was called in the middle of the night, telling me that you were kidnapped-" Layla said and Brian laughed.

"Ollie said that I was kidnapped? I had dinner at home with her and fell asleep beside her." He said and looked at Ollie.

"Layla doesn't know what she is talking about" Ollie said as she brushed her off and tried to take Brian away.

"We were here last night and a man broke into your apartment. I saw him. I got out of the car and I was kidnapped. I was slapped by her boss, Ian Donald and he forced kisses on me so tell me HOW does Ollie's boss know Mr when I've never met him." Layla said and Brian frowns and looks at Layla.

"What the hell are you trying to say Layla? That my fiance tricked you into being kidnapped and abused? How dare you Layla, I want you to leave this instant." Brian sternly said to Layla.

"I hope for your sake that you don't regret this" Layla sadly said to Brian.

She then turned to Ollie who was fiddling and looking down. "I don't know why you did what you did. But just know that I was all most a victim of gang rape and that's on you. I regret lending you my shoulder and I hope I never see you again" Layla said and walked out with Lewis beside her.

Layla sits in the car and Lewis follows. He drives to the outskirts and takes Layla to the barn they used to know as kids.

Layla stepped out of the car and the two of them sat in the open trunk of the car as Layla cried into her brothers shoulder and he put his arm around her. "Im sorry I wasn't there for you Layla" he said and she doesn't say anything to him. She just cries out all her fears and anxiety since last night.

On the other hand Brian runs his hands through his hair. How could she say all that? She came to his house uninvited and dares to say all this. Although her cheek did look bruised and slightly swollen.

He turns to Ollie who smiles softly at him. "There must be a misunderstanding I'm sure we ca-" "Did you call her last night?" Brian asked.

Brian knew when she lied, he never told her how but he knew so her next words and body language had him regretting what he did.

"No I didn't" she said and her left toe turned inwards. That's her give, she does it whenever she lied. He used to find it cute.

"I was beside you the entire time" she said and her leg relaxed. Brian was confused if he was sleeping beside her he should have heard her. He is a light sleeper.

"You wouldn't have spiked my food or water right?" He asked with a humorless chuckle. "No" she said and her toe turns inwards again.

"And her story about someone breaking in is also a lie" he said and she agreed, but it was a lie again.

Olivia was getting nervous. He caught her everytime she lied, she was scared about what he would do if he found out. "So she was lying to me even though she has known me for a long time and she has never lied to me so I find it hard to believe" Brian said and she gulped.

"I-" "What did you do Olivia, tell me now and we might not have to go through extreme measures." He said and she looks down.

"I'll tell you everything, let's just sit down first" she softly muttered and he sits on the sofa and looked up at her. She sat beside him.

Ollie watches as her boss's name flashes multiple times over the past half hour.

She wipes away the tear of fear and picks it up. "H-hello" she stuttered. "Olivia, my sweet angel, I hate to think that you mightve been ignoring my calls" he said and she stays silent.
