The Way Down Is Steep

Terrifying,
This feeling that I've been somewhere around here before,
Have I tumbled to this place so familiar?

Even after the broken pieces of my soul crumble,
I am foolish enough to take this dip once again,
Go the extra mile for another.

While it be another regret,
will I once again fail to maintain,
Or will they leave me again as it's pouring down rain?

The tragedy that is the fall,
Has landed me down here before,
Can I trust this at all?
Or is another love that hasn't reached its core?

The fruits of love,
Sometimes are hard swallow,
They turn out tasteless or some come out very hollow.

I have lost,
Love has devoured me,
But I have the nerve to let go as it's swallowing.

Trapped in another love,
Where else can I go?
It's okay I'll stay here I guess,
Until the other party picks up and goes.

And that's how most love goes,
It goes by all so fast,
It's like a blur,
But happily ever in the trash.

So from personal experience,
Don't fall in love to fast,
Don't act like you're on a cast,
And fall in love to fast.
