Amidst the silence,

you hear the screams,

Of fractured hearts and broken dreams.

How is your soul not burning down,

With everyone who's in the crowd,

So you open your mouth and press play,

Only to conclude what is coming out.

You're the only one screaming now,

They turn to you and look and say,

That's so old are you ok?

So you turn your volume down,

Only to have silence fill with sound.

So pleasing people is not the way.

No matter what happens,

Scream every day,

Don't let silence give way,

unless it's a conscious choice,

But, remember you have a voice,

Or we'll all live a certain way,

Same routines every day,

Walking, talking, and becoming the same.
