I woke up the next day to metal banging against metal and the voice of four
"I want everyone in the pit in two minutes"
Luckily, I had put new jeans to go to bed so I only put on a new shirt, my combat boots and put my hair in a braid.

"There's two stages of training. the first is physical, pushes your body to the breaking point to master the method to combat. the second is mental, again breaking point, you face your worst fear and concur them unless they get to you first. you'll be trained secretly from the dauntless born but you'll be ranked together. after initiation rankings will determine what jobs you move into. leadership, guarding the fence, or keeping the factionless from killing each other" four said
"Rankings will also determine who gets cut" Eric added
"Cut?" Christina asked
"After each stage of training, the lowest initiate will be leaving us"
"To do what," Al asked
"There's no going home to your families so you live factionless"
"Why didn't we know that" will asked
"It's a new rule"
"A new rule, someone should have told us that," Christina said
"What. would you have chosen differently? out of fear, I mean if that's the case, you might as well get out now. if you're really one of us it won't matter to you that you might fail. alright, you chose us, now we get to choose you"

The training was four teaching us how to fight and shoot a gun, Tris wasn't really good. I was, not the best, but one of them.
Right now we were running. I was wearing black jogging pants and a t-shirt that was roles up a bit so you could do a little bit of skin. we reached a place that had a few members
"Hey," one of them said to four
"What'd you got," he asked one
"Factionless, not doing anything" the guy replied
"Check it out stiff, that's gonna be your new family. go say hi" Peter told Tris
"Shut it Peter," I said

Right now we were practicing how to fight. I was with Molly. she was nice if you get to know her.
"First jumper, in the ring. last jumper, time to fight" Eric called out
Molly and I looked at each other. I was first and she was last
"How long do we fight for?" Molly asked
"Till one of you can't continue" Eric answered but four added
"Or one of you coincides"
"According to the old rules. in the new rules, nobody coincides" Eric said
Four said something to Eric that we couldn't understand but then Eric said "you'll be scored on this so fight hard" Molly and I looked at each other then back at Eric "go"

Molly came to punch me in the face but I ducked and punched her back in the jaw. I backed up for her to get straight again but once she did I kicked her in the stomach and when she kneeled down I kneed her in the nose and she went unconscious
"Blaze wins"

Tris was against another initiate that I didn't know the name of but she beat Tris
After everyone fought Eric called us over to a kind of board
"Alright, guys over here. listen up. you know what this board is? It's your life, we grade you every day. if you're still in the red by the end of the first stage your out" this is how it went

"I'm never gonna make it," Tris said
"Yes you are," Christina said
"I'm the weakest one here," she said
"Then you'll be the most improved"
"And anyway that Erin kid is worst than you" I added but when I saw them look at me I asked, "that's not helping is it?" They all shook there heads 'no'
"Your candor your not suppose to lie," Tris told Christina
"I was candor and I'm not lying"
"If they cut me I think my parents would take me back," Al said
"No it doesn't work like that, even if they wanted to their fraction wouldn't allow it"
"Even if my parents would take me back, I wouldn't belong there anymore," tris said
"I never belonged there anyway, still not helping is it?" I asked after I saw there looks
"This is getting depressing. you know what we should do? Get tattoos"

While Christina, Tris, Will and Al went looking for tattoos I went to the hair section and saw jay.
"Hey Jay" I said and smiled
"Briana" she screamed and hugged me
"Actually it's Blaze now"
"You were the first jumper?"
"Ya"
"You were the girl that did a backflip to jump off," a girl beside jay asked
"Ya that was me"
"Well you were awesome, I'm Tori but I have to go," she said then left
"So what do you need"
"I want to cut my hair and put it black"
"Ok just sit down and take off your braid I'll go get the dye," she said and walked off. while I was untying the braid I saw Eric walk in. when jay came back I finished untying my hair so it reached a few inches over my but
"Damn girl, did you ever cut your hair?" She asked really loud so a few people look at us including Eric
"No, I never let my mother touch them because she would put them in an ugly ass bun," I said
"Ha ok sit down in that chair I'll wash your hair

After she washed my hair she cut it reached under my shoulders and died it black, once it was done I gave her a hug at went to check for a tattoo. I reached Christina and will when they were checking her tattoo.
"It really is nice," I said from behind her. they both turned around and looked like they didn't recognize me until Christina looked my outfit over
"Blaze?" She asked
"Yep, how do I look," I said and twirled around
"Good" will said while Christina said "hot"
"Thanks" then walked off to check for a tattoo

I saw a tattoo it was kind of like a tribal flower tattoo and I saw before Tris get one that had three birds so I took one that had two, one for mother and one for Caleb. I saw a guy with his arms filled with tattoos and no hair, he had no one so I went up to him. when he looked up I smiled
"can I get these ones"
"Sure sit down" I sat down and told him I wanted the tribal one on my hip then the other on my right wrist.
"Do you want one in white ink? It's a new thing we have"
"Yes, the one on my hip"

Once he was done I asked if he did piercing or I had to go to someone else, he told me to go see Jay. once I reached her she smiled at me
"What did you get?" She asked so I showed her, I also told her the birds were for my mother and brother she asked me about my father so I told her he didn't like me because I wasn't selfless enough. after that, I asked if I could get a piercing so she told me to sit on a chair
"Where do you want them?"
"I want one on my belly button, my ears, and hips"
"Ok take your shirt off"

Once my piercings were done I left to go back. I was alone because I told Christina, Tris, Will, and Al to leave since I was taking longer. when I was heading out eric stopped me.
"you did well during the fight today. you didn't hesitate even when you had a friendship with your opponent, that's good. and this look looks good on you" he said then walked away.
"thanks" I called out loud enough for him to hear.
