Love Letters Chapter 6 English Translation : Close your eyes... and imagine us traveling together

Hello again.

The corners of Puwanat's mouth turned up in a smile upon seeing the first sentence, though just an ordinary greeting. It brought an astonishing feeling of warmth in his heart, as though he could hear the person's voice whispering softly in his ear.

I'd like to ask you to close your eyes, and I'll take you adventuring to a land I once visited. But if you were to close your eyes, you wouldn't be able to read the letter, don't you think?

The young student stifled a laugh a bit humorously

Of course, how would he read the other's letters if he closed his eyes? All he could do was create an image when Mr. R.K. casts his spell of words.

Can you believe? That every day after sending the previous letters, I thought almost constantly of what else I should tell you; where I should take you adventuring next in the letters to come. There've been a few instances engraved in my heart that I should write for you to read; the image of beauty from different life experiences circling in consideration, and I can't help but think back to those days. I won't deny that those times I spent traveling were some of the best times in my life, and one day I want to do that again. When that day comes... I want to have someone I love come along with me.

But before that time comes, what I can do in this moment is tell the stories that have passedwhether that be through stories of novel characters or the letter in your hands...

While writing this letter, I have a mug of warm tea beside me. There are scented candles that make me feel relaxed whenever they are lit. Close by, 3-4 of my old travel journals. Would it be strange, if I told you I feel overwhelming joy when thinking of my past experiences, knowing you will be reading them.

I believe I told you once before; I am passionate about nature, history, and architecture wherever I travel in the whole wide world. Traveling to see buildings and traces of civilizations; it's an aesthetic choice I find difficult to substitute. I think of it as luck that I was able to spend time in European countries, taking the opportunity to travel conveniently and relatively easy. Summer break was the time I looked forward to the most, because it meant I would be able to pack my backpack and travel the world again.

One summer I decided to travel to the Alsace region in eastern France because of the rumor that it holds the most beautiful villages in the country. I remember back then I almost couldn't wait until the break.

My heart inflated completely upon the first step I took onto the land of many sights. The houses there have an array of bright, beautiful colors reminiscent of a city in a novel. Try to imagine European-style homes made of stone, many different pastel colors alternating down the walk. Not only that, but some houses are even embellished with floral displays. The small walking paths along the front of the suburbs have their own unique charm. The brick-paved sidewalks make me feel as though I'm walking along the path of history. Especially in Colmar, where the narrow, winding path along the canal makes even just taking a scenic walk through the town in the warm summer sun extremely worthwhile.

Other than the scenic walks, I was also able to take advantage of the river ferry through the city of Strasbourg, the capital city of this region. The cruise takes you through a scenic view of the beautifully arranged colorful houses that line the shore, admiring medieval architecture such as the four towers that connect across the canal by bridge. The sight is as beautiful as a painting; as always I tried to sketch my view in my notebook, which became very valuable to me. Even if it wasn't nearly as elegant as an artist's brush.
