Chapter XXI- Halftime

(Technos POV)

We get a five minute break now.

Tommy goes to get some water but Wilbur, y/n and I stay.

Wilbur: "Hey techno?"

Me: "Yeah?"

Wilbur: "What's with your skin?"

Me: "Wh- oh, y/n customised it for me."

Wilbur: "Ahh. Look up,"
He tells me and I do.

Wilbur: "HAH- there's a little heart under your chin-"

I go into F5 and see for myself.

Then I hear y/n laughing.

Y/n: "Oops."

I shake my head, but I'm smiling. 

Wilbur talks to y/n about an awkward fan encounter in the past but I only half listen as I scroll through TikTok.

Suddenly I get a video about minecraft pick up lines on my fyp. I chuckle as I debate telling a few to y/n or not.

'I probably shouldn't. What if I make her uncomfortable?'

'But I really want to-'

'No, don't-'

Eventually, I give in.

Me: "Hey y/n?"
I call.

Y/n: "Yeah?"
Her voice sounds softer than usual.

I'm quiet for a few seconds as I hesitate to say it.

Me: "Are you a minecraft torch? Because you light up my world."

Everyone's silent for a moment.

Wilbur: "AWWWWW-"

There's no audible reaction from y/n so I open her stream.

I see her with her elbow on her desk and her hand partly covering her red face.

Y/n: "That- I- I can't- that was-"

I laugh at her stuttering.

My mouth breaks into a wide smile.

Me: "Hey y/n?"

She asks hesitantly.

Wilbur cackles.

Me: "Hey y/n?"

Y/n: "Oh my god techno, how many do you have?"

Me: "I think I'm gravel because I'm fallin' for you."

Wilbur: "OHHHH HE FINALLY ADMITS ITTT!"

I shake my head at Wilbur.

Y/n: "Technoooo, stahpppp."

On her facecam, she's smiling wide at her screen with bright red cheeks.

'She's so goddamn cute'

Me: "Hey y/n?"
I laugh.

Y/n: "Don't you dare-"
She warns.

Me: "Are you a minecraft fence? Because I can't get over you."

Y/n: "Okay-"
She starts.

Y/n: "That one was actually really good-"
She admits.

Me: "Hey y/n?"

Y/n: "Stahppppp."

Me: "Are you a creeper? Because you make my heart explode."

Y/n: "Aww-"
She allows herself to say and my chest goes warm.

Me: "Hey y/n?"

Y/n: "Techno, if you don't stop I will be putting you on my to-do list,"
She says sternly.

Techno: "I-"
I choke on my words, my cheeks burning.

Wilbur: "PAHAH-"

Tommy: "MY POOR INNOCENT CHILD EARS-"

Y/n: "PAHA TOMMY WHEN DID YOU JOIN BACK?!"

Tommy: "TOO FUCKING SOON APPARENTLY!"

Y/n and Wilbur hit their desks and fold in their chairs as they die laughing while I sit there with an embarrassingly red face.

My phone dings.
