Chapter XXXIII- The Beach

(Y/n's POV)

We make it to the beach a few minutes after everyone else. The car ride was fun, we blasted music the whole time.

I haven't been able to stop smiling.

Techno gets out first. Then he opens my door and helps me out.

We laugh as Tommy and Tubbo run along the beach like toddlers.

Then we walk down the beach to join them.

Techno and I take off our shoes to walk in the warm sand.

I roll up my trousers too. Then we get to the water which is surprisingly warm.

Tubbo and Tommy are wearing shorts so they're already knee high into the water.

Suddenly they wade through the water towards us and techno takes a step back in time but I don't.

They splash me and I gasp at the water soaking into my clothes.

Techno laughs behind me.

I look at Tommy and Tubbo for a long moment in silent rage before turning around.

Me: "PHILLLLL? CAN I DROWN THEMMM?"

Phil: "WhAt?!"
He says in the distance and we all laugh.

They retreat back.

Techno walks over to help Phil with whatever he's doing.

Niki walks over to me as I watch Tubbo and Tommy get out of the water to quickly. They get buckets and fill them with water.

Niki: "Hey y/n,"
She hums.

Me: "Hey."

Niki: "What were you and techno doing upstairs before Tommy called you, if you don't mind me asking."

I smile at the thought.

Me: "Uh... hugging,"
It feels silly to say aloud.

Tommy: "FOR FIVE MINUTES?!"
He yells.

'How the hell did he hear that-'

Me: "Yeah?! What of it?!"
I yell back and he looks away.

Niki and I talk for a few minutes before she walks up the beach again.

Suddenly Tommy and Tubbo run towards me with their water buckets and I sprint away.

I go to the two tallest people: Ranboo and Wilbur.

I hide behind them for protection but as soon as they see Tommy and Tubbo they side step and expose me.

'Traitors!'

Tommy is a few steps away from me and I basically admit defeat.

Suddenly Techno steps in front of me and Tommy skids to a halt, looking up at him.

Techno: "I wouldn't if I were you,"
His warning is scarily monotone.

Tommy: "Techno- Techno- buddy- we're only messing aboutttt,"
He says nervously, stepping back.

Tubbo has already fled.

Soon, Tommy follows his lead.

Techno and I burst out laughing as we watch tommy trip in the sand and fall on his face as he's running away.

Suddenly loud music starts playing behind us.

So don't stop me now

Having a good time

Up the beach, Wilbur and Phil are standing beside a huge speaker and holding their arms up in victory.

Wilbur immediately starts singing along.

Techno: "Where did they get a speaker?"

Me: "I haven't a clue."

Tommy and Tubbo run up the beach and start to sing and dance.

Ranboo and Niki join them and soon everyone is singing along.

Me: "Wanna go join?"

Techno: "Of course,"
He says.

I take his hand and we run up the beach to join the others.

I'm having such a good time

I don't want to stop at all

The music is so loud the sand is basically shaking. It's a good thing there's no one around.

Techno takes my hands again and starts dancing with me.

The sun makes his eyes look like liquid gold and his hair looks fluffier than ever.

I laugh and dance with him, singing along with everyone else.

We spend a long time there, letting the music consume us and Technos hands hold mine until the sun starts to set.

For a while, it was heaven on earth.
