Harriet sighed shrugging off her jacket. "Where were you?" Benjamin poked his head round the corner, dinner still cooking.

"Umm with Kelly and the others in the Jaguar." Harriet kicked off her boots singing as she flopped down on the sofa. "Don't!" Harriet raised a finger at her brother.

"I didn't say anything."

"You didn't have to." Benjamin smirks as he walks back into the kitchen opening the fridge to get more ingredients out for dinner.

"Shit!"

"Language!" Harriet yells back.

"I forgot to buy butter."

"What do you need it for?"

"It's important for the meal."

"Is it? It's 9 miles to the nearest store, you're expecting me to drive 9 miles there 9 miles back for butter?!" she stared at her brother in disbelief.

"I didn't say you."

"Well you didn't exactly volunteer!"

"Well seeing as you already put yourself forward." Benjamin patted Hattie on the back walking back towards the kitchen grabbing his car keys chucking them at her. "You can go, maybe you can ask your girlfriend to join you." He teased before he had a pillow thrown at him.

Hattie sighed walking out the door making sure to slam it on the way out before getting in the car driving 9 miles to a stores for fucking butter! God she wished she was in bed right now.

Whilst she was in the store she picked up a few more things saving an extra trip next time. She pulled up back on the drive at the house getting out then the shopping bags from the back seat unaware of someone sneaking up behind her, Benjamin came out onto the porch to greet his sister.

"I did it! I am the champion!! 18 miles for butter!"  Harriet raised her arms along with the bags up in the air in victory. "Apparently according to your shitty GPS 9.2 miles so that 18.- AGHH!" Harriet screamed when she felt a pair of hands on her waist, cold fingers poking her sides tickling but startling her.

She turned round to see Kelly laughing holding her side. "You're insane you know that, you continue doing I'm sorry we are no longer friends." She sighs catching her breathe.

"Aw no I'm sorry." Kelly's laughter died down holding her arms open for a hug approaching the younger girl.

"Keep those freezing cold hands away from me Foster, I'm warm you're gonna make me cold!" Harriet whined backing away from Kelly making her pout. "Don't make that face Foster you can hug me tomorrow only after I give you a pair of my gloves. No instead of loaning about not doing anything in your spare time, go out in the city and find your friends. Take a break from me, go have fun."

"Aww you know I'll miss you."

"Just forget about me go have fun."

"I think I'm just gonna go find my pillow, here's a list of things that need to be done by tonight." Kelly handed Harriet a slip of paper. Here's Spars new medication as always make sure he eats it."

"We've got it all under control. I'll see you tomorrow."

"Night Mad Hatter." Kelly smirked.

"Goodnight Kellogg's."

"Huh?" Kelly turned round from walking off.

"Like the cereal. You call me Mad Hatter I'm gonna call you a goofy name."

"Alright night you nutter." Kelly finally walked away this time.

"Night Kellogg's." Hattie smirked to herself as Kelly shook her head laughing thank god it was practically pitch black as her red cheeks were hidden.

"Kelly and Hattie sittin in a tree, K-"

"You're five you know that?" Harriet shoved one of the shopping bags to Benjamin to shut him up. Dinner was finally served after what reeled like forever with Harriet helping Rosie with her homework.

After dinner everyone headed out to do the last of the jobs Kelly had wrote down. "Okay me and Rosie will go to Spar and the rest of the tigers, Dylan you go to the garage and make sure the lights are off and Hattie you can feed the monkeys." Benjamin ordered splitting off from Harriet and Dylan.

"Dad I have a sick amount of homework to do!" Benjamin ignored him. "Dad!"

"Get it done!" Benjamin continued to walk off with Rosie.

"You go do the monkeys they're closer I'll go to the garage. Don't tell your dad."

"Thanks Aunt Hattie."

"Yeah yeah hurry up make sure you get your homework all done and an early night. Night kiddo." The two split off once more.

"Night Hattie."

Hattie walked into the garage having a look around at all the different crates lifting some up to see old decoration stuff. Then she saw a bugged crate on the table with bold letters 'do not open!' Well that just intrigued her even more you tell someone not to do something it encourages them to do it even more.

She lifted the lid up peering through the gap, seeing something move she lifted up further to immediate hissing to reveal a pile of snakes. "Eurgh." A shiver was sent down her spine. She sprinted off turning the lights on the way out not noticing that she didn't close the lid properly letting out the snakes of the crate.
