CHAPTER 30

They had a few hours till Ferris came which gave them chance to put the sign up. "Hey love can you come here a minute?" Hattie heard Kelly call her from the kitchen. 

"What's up?" Hattie came into the room stood next to her nephew who looked like he was needed for the same reason as Hattie. 

"Well we have a new logo for the zoo and since you're both the artist in this strange little family I wanted your opinions on it." Kelly turned round the A3 poster to reveal the drawing pf Spar Hattie and Dylan had worked on.  "Nit bad, huh?" 

"Wh- where are you putting this?" Dylan stuttered in shock.

"I don't know. I was thinking maybe everywhere." Kelly smiled at Dylan making him smile back hugging her suddenly in excitement. "You can go out after the inspection with me, Mad Hatter and Rosie since it's a nice day. Just us four and if you're lucky I might treat you to an ice cream." Dylan nodded before running off to print more copies.

"You're amazing you know that." Hattie smiled contently wrapping her arms loosely round Kelly's neck as Kelly secured Hattie in her arms by wrapping them round Hattie's waist. 

"Oh thanks." Kelly shrugged sarcastically.

"Don't let that get to your pretty head Foster or it will get too big." Hattie smiled as Kelly copied both leaning in before Benjamin walked in, interrupting them making them pull away. "Come on lovebirds we need your help to put up this sign." Benjamin nodded towards the front door as they rushed out to help out. 

"Behold everyone our new logo." Benjamin sighed as Robin and McCready continued to drill in the last screws at the bottom, Hattie stepping backward to get a better look at it as Dylan came up beside her. 

"What do you think bud?"

"I think Mum would love to be here right now." Dylan nodded proudly as Hattie bought him in a hug. "Oh Hattie no! No hugs! Not cool."

"But you always hugged me when you were little." Hattie spoke purposely loud to catch everyone's attention, especially Lily's to embarrass her nephew in his obvious crush, because I mean that was her job as an Auntie. 

"No I didn't!" Dylan struggled to get out of the hug but still chuckling. 

"Oh of course you did you never left my side you did what Rosie does now you even sat with me when I went to the toilet."

"Shut up!" Dylan whined before Hattie let him go. "You're so annoying." Dylan chuckled. "But I love you."

"Hey!" Hattie grabbed hold of his shoulder. "Remember what I told you, and what I will always tell you. You Mum might not be here physically but she's alway here." Hattie pointed to her chest where her heart is and placed her other hand in the exact place on Dylan. It was Dylan's turn to hug Hattie now as a silent tear ran down his cheek as hattie kissed into his hair. Another pair of small arms joining them as Hattie pulled Rosie, who ran up to them, into the hug. Everyone, who was watching from afar, felt their hearts melt especially when Benjamin ran over to join the family hug. 

"Hey Kelly go join the family hug, you're practically family now that you and Hattie are together." McCready nudged Kelly, speaking a bit too loudly making everyone look their way even the family hugging chuckling with tears streaming down their faces.

"Kelly get your butt over here." Hattie spoke sternly, but still smiling wiping her tears away as Kelly approached her Hattie grabbed her hand pulling her into the group hug. "I love you." Hattie whispered to her.

"I love you more." Kelly kissed the side of her head.

"Are you guys just gonna stand there or are you gonna join in this family hug? You are our family!" Hattie shouted out to the others watching as they all dropped their tools they were using before and ran over to join the hug. 

"Let's get this zoo, open guys okay. We can do this. Hands in." Hattie placed her hand in the middle of the slight circle everyone had made. Everyone then placing their hands on top. 

"Rosemoor family on three. Three, two, one!" 

"ROSEMOOR FAMILY!" Everyone raised their arms up in the air puling their hands off each other's as they headed towards the entrance waiting for Ferris but the two hands that remained holding each other were Kelly's and Hattie's.
