SONG: SOMEONE NEW BY HOZIER
This week was a busy week. The money had come in and everyone got to work fixing and doing all the things on the list Ferris made from hi inspection. The first job for Hattie was to help Kelly and Macready with making Buster's enclosure bigger.
Hattie was trying to find her favourite denim jacket, rummaging around in her cupboard searching for it high and low, already running late to meet Kelly and Macready.
"Oh forget it." Hattie shrugged walking out the house after putting her shoes on rushing to Buster's enclosure to meet the other two. "Hey sorry I'm late I couldn't find my den-" Hattie ran up to Kelly waiting for her but stopping when she found Kelly wearing her denim jacket she was just looking for.
"Is that my jacket?"
"Well you left it in the Jaguar yesterday when I was restocking the drinks in there this morning it was really cold so I put it on to keep me warm." Kelly pouted dramatically hoping Hattie wouldn't make her give it back.
"Fine!" Hattie rolled her eyes. "As long as I can have your hat." Harriet smirked taking Kelly's cap off her head and putting it on her own smirking up at her.
"You're lucky you're cute, especially with my hat on, so I'll let this go." Kelly chuckled pulling the hat down further covering Hattie's eyes so she couldn't see.
"Ahhh I'm blind. Oh well I guess it's a good thing. Good thing as well, means I can't see Kelly's nasty face." Harriet smirked, the cap still covering her eyes so she looked even more stupid.
"And you're lucky I don't feed you too Solomon. Goofball." Kelly mumbled the last part.
"Hey!" Harriet tilted the hat up so she could see Kelly now. "I may have been blind but I wasn't deaf!"
"I'm sorry I don't know what you mean." Kelly tired to hold in her smile as Hattie began to unscrew the fences to make it easier for Macready to increase the enclosure's size. Kelly found herself not getting on with the chore but staring admiringly at Hattie. How her jaw clenched slightly when she concentrated. Her stare going from her jaw to her lips, god how difficult was it to kiss someone?! And her smile! She noticed how Hattie had a slight smile when she added a screw to the little pile she made on the ground next to her as she continued to unscrew the fences. Her stare followed up to her eyes. Hattie's hazel eyes that Kelly always found herself getting lost in. They were one of her favourite things about the girl, but she also loved her hands. How somehow despite the weather they were always warm, Hattie was like Kelly's human radiator, Hattie's warmth, physical warmth and the warmth that Kelly felt when she was round her.......
"Kelly?" Hattie waved her hand in front of Kelly's face to get her attention.
"Sorry what were you saying?"
"I said I was wondering if you would want to get some drinks?" WHAT?! Kelly must've been imagining this! Right?! It's not possible this is happening now?!
"Pardon?"
"I said are you okay?" Yep Kelly imagined it. Kelly always knew she felt something different for the younger girl but this was like a massive conformation. The fact that she wanted to go out with her so much that she imagined it was. Sign that Kelly was in fact head over heels, madly and horribly in love with Harriet.
"Yeah I'm fine just day dreaming."
"Right I'm done here." Hattie picked up the screws on the floor and put them in a plastic box that rested on a picnic bench behind them, that would have to be moved. "Do you want me to stay with whilst you finish you're part?"
"No I'm good, you go relax, do some painting or whatever it is that you do." Kelly gave her a reassuring smile making her chuckle.
"Okay." Hattie leaned forward and pecked Kelly on the cheek. "I'll see you at the Jaguar with the rest tonight yeah?"
"Yeah see you there." Kelly tried to hide her blush by covering the cheek where Hattie kissed her, feeling like she was practically turning into a tomato. Hattie turned round and started walking back towards the house to get changed into some old clothes and do some painting. She decided she would do it outside as there was a nice view visible at the right angle outside their house, and again it was a nice day.
As soon as Hattie was out of sight to Kelly, Kelly sprinted to the one place she knew she'd find Robin.
"Robin! Robin!" She yelled his name when she saw him up ahead catching his attention.
"What?! What's wrong?"
"How the hell do I ask Hattie out?!"
"FINALLY!" Robin raised his arms in the air then wrapping them round Kelly squeezing her tightly out of excitement. Robin told her that there's no secret behind it but she just needs the confidence. Kelly walked up to the house seeing Hattie outside with her over sized flannel shirt, her hair up with a clip, still with Kelly's hat on, painting the view in front of her. As she approached her her walkie talkie went off, catching Hattie's attention.
"Hey Kel what's up?" Hattie turned round as Kelly gave a smile in return pointing to her walkie talkie.
"Kelly." Lily's voice came from the other end. "It's Spar." Kelly and Hattie shared a look before running off towards his enclosure.
