first kiss..

*time skip to morning*

I woke up at like 10am and went to see if karl was awake. Surprisingly, he wasn't. He was still passed out, sprawled out on his bed.
I walk over to his bed and poke his shoulder.

"Karl wake uppp... karl!"

I shake his shoulder. Nothing. Damn this man is a heavy sleeper. I decide to jump completely on top of him.
"OWW what the fuck" karl says, rubbing his eyes
"Morning" i say, smiling
"Oh yeah, did you still want to go to the mall today?" karl asks, looking down at me
"I was about to ask you the same thing" I say rolling off of him
"Okay, ready in 20?"
"mhm"
I never did give Karl his jacket back, so i decided to wear it with some leggings and a cropped shirt.

Knock knock
"y/n, you ready?"
"Yeah" I walked out with karl.
"Looks like its gonna rain"
"Let's hope it wont turn to snow"
"Yeah, or i'll have to take my jacket back from you"
"No, im keeping the jacket"
"Oh, okay, how far is the mall?"

"Honestly, I have no clue. I haven't been in months"
"Um could you look it up please"

"Yeah" I said, smiling.

Karl always had really good manners. Like, even at dinner, he chews with his mouth closed, no elbows on the table, and y'know, the basics. Also, his house was always so clean. I mean, other than the trash can but like- that's normal. He was playful sometimes, but sometimes he's sweet, or cuddly I guess. He gets these little bursts of happiness and just picks me up and swings me around. He said he has ADHD but i think of it like a personality, because if it weren't for it, he wouldn't be Karl.

"Karl you missed the turn" i said, giggling

"I know, were getting Starbucks first"
"OOO okay"
"What do you want?"
"Umm ill take an iced chai tea latte"
"okay"
We get our drinks and get back on the road.
"What the hell is a chai"

"Its like- um- i dont know how to explain it, wanna try some?"
"Sure"
I hold the cup to his mouth and he takes a sip.
"I don't know what tf that is but it's pretty good"
"Right?! What'd you get?"
"I got a vanilla bean frap with java chips, you wanna try mine?"
"Yes of course"

Ive already had that same order but since he asked, i tried it.
"Oh yes yes, kinda basic if you ask me"
"Oh cmon"
"Karl, hate to break it to you but, your a basic bitch"
Karl hit the breaks beside a stop sign. (not crazy but enough to where the car came to a quick stop)

"Am not"

"Okay but you are bad at driving"
"Your just mean"
"Ratio" i whispered
"What?"
"Ratio" i whispered again
"What tf are you sayi-"
"HAH GET RATIOED"

"Oh, you little"
"Little what, karl? Tell me"
"Nothin"

We pull up to the mall and we walk to the door. The mall was really big. It had almost all of my favorite stores, and it was three stories.
"Where ya wanna go?"

"Hmm.. oh! Let's go to rue21?"
"Okay!"

We scurry along a few stores and stop at the food court because, yes.

"Im gonna run to the bathroom, ill be back." I said

"Okay."

We split and I head to the bathroom. The line was quite long, so it took like 5 minutes to get through. After a while, I do my buisness and get back to see karl talking to someone. That someone being a girl. I decide to sit and watch, just to see what he'd do. Eventually he spotted me. I could tell he was uncomfortable. He widened his eyes as a signal to help him. I walk over there, grab his hand and give him a kiss. He definitely kissed back, putting his hand on my back, seeming to... enjoy it? I dont know, he's probably just playing along. It wasn't a long kiss, just long enough to make the girl scurry away. I break the kiss and look at Karl.

"Guess that worked?" i said
"Uh- y-yeah!" Karl said, flustered as hell
"Anyways sorry it took me a bit, the line was freakishly long"

"Oh- uh your good" Karl said, looking stunned

"Also, what tf did she want?"

"She was asking for a picture, and after we took a picture she started acting like that" karl replied
"Oh- so your not used to that?" i ask

"Not really, not many of my fans are freaks like that"

We get pretzels and head back to the car to avoid anymore situations. Karl was acting strange, like he didn't want to talk to me anymore.
"Karl? You okay?" I say, worried he hated me for what had happened.

"Uh- yeah. just , quick question"

"Okayy, fire away"
"That kiss right, why'd you do it?"

"Well i figured you wanted to get the girl away and that's the first thing that came to mind.. Im sorry if i made you uncomfortable.." I say as I look out the window

"Oh- no." He puts his hand on my leg. "I enjoyed it if anything" Karl said, slightly smirked.
"Your a dork" I roll my eyes and smiled back.
As we get in the car, I thought about what to pack to go to Florida next week.

We pass the bookstore. Oh shit. I have a job there.  

"Wait.. Karl what day are we going to florida?"
"Uh, wednesday, why"

"Um i kinda forgot i had applied for a job-"

"Oh sh- could you ask for time off?"
"I could probably hold off the start date"

"Okay were good" I said, putting my phone down.
"Alright, well were home now" karl said, pulling in.
