"Yeah, I just don't wanna leave you here alone... and it'd be pretty shitty if I did." Steve sheepishly spoke,

"Listen, I've been alone many times, I don't suddenly need company." She shook her head,

"Having company's nice, y'know, every once in a while." Steve shrugged, Minnie laughed while wiping her tears, "What?"

"Noth- ...nothing, you just sound like you're tryna get in my pants." Minnie smiled, "But I doubt you'd ruin your chances with Nancy, even if you are a douche."

"And there you go being mean again." Minnie rolled her eyes,

Will wouldn't leave Minnies mind and not in a grieving way but in a way that made her think he wasn't dead. Now, Minnie couldn't keep this theory to herself, of course, she was a blabbermouth so she went to the only person she always went to,

Minnie sighed as she jogged up to her mother, "Hey, mamá! Can I talk to you for a minute?"

"Yeah, uh, sure, what about?"

"Listen, I know this is weird, but... I don't think Will is dead and I know this part is gonna sound insane but hear me out, every time someone I know dies I always have a dream about it, in the exact way they die and then they die the next day or- or something! I feel like I'm losing my mind." Minnie exclaimed, her mother froze for a spilt second,

"Mi hija, you do sound insane." Selena sighed, she grabbed onto her keys, "I have to go, your little friend called again, something about tutoring? Te quiero, cariño." She kissed her head before walking out the door,

"What the fuck?!" Minnie exclaimed almost silently, groaning as she turned around.

"You know, I thought this was supposed to be a tutoring session." Steve commented after Minnie finished rambling about her problems,

"Listen, the entirety of the last session you kept talking about your hair, the party, the game, etc., I think I can talk about my problems and how I'm fucking going crazy while tutoring you at the same time." Minnie spoke fastly,

"I don't think you're going crazy."

"No?"

"No, you're grieving and when somethings a pattern it's natural to be suspicious when it suddenly stops, I do think you're wasting your time though, they found a body in the lake, Min, he's dead and you just gotta accept that." Steve shrugged, grabbing onto the bouncy ball before playing with it,

"Douchebag." Minnie grumbled, "Listen, I don't think so, I would've had a dream of him dying, Steve! You don't understand this nightmare shit has been happening since I was three, okay? It wouldn't suddenly just stop after fourteen years!"

"Again, you're grieving but can we please focus back on the test? This is a tutoring session after all." Steve sighed, Minnie scoffed,

"How come I had to listen to your personal life the entirety of the last session but the moment I wanna talk about how I'm going fucking crazy now you wanna focus on the test? I don't even know why I agreed to this shit." Minnie laid back on her bed, "But fine, since you suddenly wanna study so fucking badly-"

"Sorry, I'm just stressed about this whole thing, okay? I got interrogated by the police today, did you know that?" He pointed at her,

"Yes, you wouldn't shut up about everybody lying about the beer being there." Minnie sighed, waving her hands up as her eyes stayed glued to the ceiling, "Now, since you wanna study so badly, why don't we just do that?"

"Got it."
