Chapter 2(Her pain)

The scene starts from doctor giving a sedative to naira so that she can rest...naira slept in no time and doctor signalled everyone to come out...kartik caressed hair nd kissed her forehead once, then left the room...

KARTIK:(worriedly) Kya hua doctor...meri naira thik h naa..

DOCTOR:(to kartik) Mr goenka... mein apko koi jhooti umeed nhi dena chahta...aapki wife kisi trauma se guzar rhi h aur unki condition thik nhi h...jb tk vo apna pain kisi se share nhi krti, she's not fine...kuch toh hua h, jisne unke mind pe affect kiya h...baaki toh reports aane ke baad hi pta chlega...pr she's slowly slipping into depression...unse baat krne ki try kijiye..she needs ur love nd care...

Everyone were shocked to know this...kartik knew what trauma she's into...the doctor went and the family members looked towards kartik, who was slapping himself blaming himself for her condition...

DADI:(holding his hands to stop him) kittu yeh kya kr rhe ho beta...tum kyu khudko blame kr rhe ho...naira ghar se gyi, uss mei tumhari kya galti...shaant hojao beta..bss..(hugging him as he cried)

Swarna signalled manish that there's something which kartik is hiding...he nodded and took kartik with him to his room and swarna followed them...dadi went to pray to god and gayu nd surekha sat beside naira...swarna locked the door and manish made him sit on the bed, sitting beside him...he hugged his papa, crying in his embrace...

MANISH:(caressing his hair) Kartik...kya hua beta...mujhe pta h tum hum sbse kuch chupa rhe ho naa..tumhari aankhon mei guilt dikh rha h...esi kya galti hui h tumse...(hugging him)

Swarna too sat beside him and hugged him...kartik told them everything what happened...they both were shocked hearing this..

KARTIK:(crying badly) I..m..s.sor.ryy...m.e.ne...b.oh.t..b.ad.i..ga.l.ti..k.i...h..pr...m.mei.n..ap.n.i..n.ai.ra..ko...n.hi..k.ho..s.kt.a..(he told them everything that how mitali instigated him and dadi's taunts too affected his mind due to which he felt insecure and did such a big mistake)

MANISH:(hugging him) mnn toh kr rha h ki tumhe ek thappad lgau pr mujhe pta h naira ko iss time pe tumhari zroorat h...tum kese kr skte ho yeh kartik..tum toh apni naira pe kitna trust krte the, kitna pyar krte the use...iss baar tumhara trust haar kese gya...ab smjh aaya ki naira kisi ki baat ka response kyu nhi de rhi thi...(with tears)

SWARNA:(wiping her own tears) Naira toot gyi h manish jii...ek ladki ke liye yeh boht badi baat h..pta nhi kya beet rhi hogi uspe...
Ab jo ho gya use toh hum nhi badal skte, pr ab naira ko thik krna hoga kartik...use sambhalna hoga tumhe...usse tb tk maafi maangte rho jb tk use yeh nhi lgta ki tumhe sach mei apni galti ka pachtaava h...aise chup chup rhegi toh andr se dam ghutne lgega uska...jao kartik..yeh time rone ka nhi h, strong rhene ka h...
Apni naira ke liye...(caressing his hair)

Kartik nodded, wiping his tears... he apologised to manish and swarna also for hurting their daughter...they hugged him, giving him strength to make everything fine...

MANISH:(to kartik) yeh baat ghar mei aur kisi ko pta nhi lgni chahiye...tumhe toh pta hi h ki maa ki nazron mei hmesha naira hi galat hoti h...agr unhone kuch keh diya use, toh problem ho jayegi...

Kartik nodded, but lest did they knew that dadi had heard their conversation from the door...she directly went to naira's room and saw her waking up...she held her hand, dragging her out...naira didn't opposed as she was still in trauma...naira's stomach was going to hit the stairs as she was bringing her down, but kartik held her at the right time...he hugged naira tightly as she was sniffing lightly lost in her own thoughts...everyone came there when kartik shouted "daddiii"...

KARTIK:(glaring at her) yeh kya kr rhi thi aap...naira ko aise kheech ke kyu le jaa rhi thi aur kyu...(caressing naira's hair) shh... bss..bss bachaa...calm down..mein hu naa naira..(kissing her hair)

He took naira in his arms back to the room, followed by others...he saw her sleeping due to the injection and laid her on the bed..
.swarna stayed with her while others went with kartik to confront dadi...

MANISH:(Confused) yeh kya kr rhi thi aap maa...naira ke sath ese behave kyu kr rhi thi..

KARTIK:(angrily) Ab aap kuch bolengi ya nhi...

DADI:(sternly) tumhari naira ne iss layak hi kaha choda h humei...
Humei toh kehne mei bhi sharam aa rhi h...(to manish and kartik) hum ne tumhari baatein sun li thi ki uss raat kya hua tha...tum boht bhole ho kittu...tum nhi samjhoge pr humei pta h naira ki asliyat...
(Disgustingly)

KARTIK:(angrily) bss dadi...meri naira ke baare mei kuch bolne ki himmat bhi mtt krna...galti meri thi jo mene usse itna ghatiya sawaal pucha...

AKHIL:(Confused) humei koi btayega ki aap kis baare mei baat kr rhe ho...konsa sawaal kartik aur maa aap kya keh rhe ho...naira ki asliyat..

Manish told them everything and they too supported naira that she is innocent, but dadi spoke something which kartik couldn't tolerate...

DADI:(Disgustingly) arey tum sb nhi jaante...naira jesi ladkiyan kuch bhi kr skti h...apne pati ke hote hue kisi aur ke sath sambandh bnana kese sahi ho skta h...pta nhi aur kya kya kiya hoga usne apne boss ke sath...

KARTIK:(shouting at the top of his voice) daadddiii...bsss...boht ho gya...ab ek shabd nhi sunna mujhe naira ke khilaaf...Sharam toh mujhe aa rhi h apko apni dadi kehne mei...ek aurat hokr bhi aapko naira ka dard nhi dikhta... itna ghatiya ilzaam lgane se phle aapne ek baar bhi nhi socha...galti meri h jo mene naira pe trust nhi kiya...isliye uske khilaaf bolne se phle hazaar baar soch lena, kyuki agli baar mein bardash nhi krunga...(glaring at her angrily)
