Bonnie spent the next three days in a state of distraction with Anna. Then Caroline came back to town from her dad's house and pulled Bonnie into a frenzy of preparation for the Miss Mystic Falls pageant. That morning after history class, Bonnie met with Caroline and Elena for a quick intervention before second period. Caroline reminded Elena about the pageant - who apparently forgot because of the mess that had become their lives. After school, Bonnie had gone to the Founders Court interview and said her piece about being grateful for being chosen despite not being part of one of the founding families. That she would do her best to represent the town as a member of this years Miss Mystic Court.
Now Bonnie walked with Caroline through the halls. They were on their way to the pageants dance rehearsal.
"The Fell cousins don't have a shot." Caroline said. "Amber Bradley is only the court because her mum's dating a Fell. You're only the court so that the pageant doesn't look like it's just founding families only, which of course it is." Bonnie listened without comment. Caroline was always candid, whether she thought what she said would hurt your feelings or not - they were similar in that way. Bonnie just chose the people she was honest with more carefully. But Bonnie knew Caroline meant well. She saw it through her actions. Caroline had been the one to fill out every detail of Bonnie's application to be part of the pageant. Hellbent on making sure she, Elena and Bonnie shared this experience together.
