I drop my pencil on the table and lean forward. Both hands reaching up to squeeze my tight shoulder muscles, as I twist my neck back and forth.

“What no little siblings today?”

I look up at the figure making himself comfortable at my table next to me. His dark hair falling into his eyes for a moment. Even if I couldn’t see his face the lack of color in his outfit and the black stained skin were a dead give away.

“Huh?” Is the only thought that comes to mind.

“I see you in here almost as much as I am but you’re always with the same two kids.” he explains.

I nod as I realize what he is talking about.

“They aren’t my siblings.” I smile. “They are brother and sister but not mine. They go to Berkeley High and I tutor them here every week."

He seems surprised.

"Why are you tutoring high schoolers?"

I give him an offended look and he quickly starts to back pedal.

"Not that I don't think you…i mean why high schoolers and not offer your services here." He corrects himself.

“Well ‘my services’ weren’t wanted here. But I wanted to say some money so high school students were my next option.”

“If you’re not tutoring what are you doing here today?”

I raise an eyebrow and gesture to the books and papers spread out on the table.

“Um, studying? You know, for finals…”

He nods as he looks through my papers.

“Miss Thomson, Mr. Remington. It’s nice to see some of my students taking their studies seriously.”

I smile up at Professor Sabah and greet him. Dorian nods at him and stands up.

“Well I have to get going. Have a nice winter break.”

Dorian says goodbye and walks away.

“He’s not much of a talker that one, but he is one of my best students. Top of his class the past two years. How is the studying going? Have any questions for me?”

I shrug and look at my notes for his class.

“Actually I think I'm good. I already went over my notes and I’m feeling confident.” I tell him.

“Shouldn’t surprise me. You have had high scores on everything so far this semester. Will you be taking my course next semester as well?”

“Yes, I am an anthropology major so I will probably be taking a few of your classes over the next few years.”

“I’m glad to hear it. Have you thought about going on the archaeology trip next semester?”

I looked up at him surprised. I have heard about the trip and was instantly interested but only a small group of students are able to go. Those few spots usually go to the more senior members of the archeology and anthropology majors. I knew I’d have to wait and hope for another chance to go in a few more years.

“I’d love to but I know there are limited spots.”

“I think it would be a great opportunity for you and I will see about the number of spots left.” He says.

I can’t help but get excited as he says this.

“That would be amazing. Thank you Professor Sabah.” I can’t stop the smile from spreading across my face.

My cell goes off and I check it.

Are you ready? Im outside. -A.K.

Shit! I lost track of time. I quickly gather up my things.

“Sorry, my ride is here.” I tell Professor Sabah.

“Well it was nice seeing you again Miss Thomson. Have a nice vacation.”

I shoved everything in my bag and headed toward the door after saying goodbye. I quickly spot Alex, who is standing outside his car.

“I was just about to come inside and look for you.” He teases me.

I give him a kiss before climbing in the car door he’s opened for me. As he sits down in the car he smiles at me. He leans over and kisses me again.

“Sorry I lost track of time.” I apologize.

“It’s ok. I know how easy it is to get caught up while studying, especially for finals. That’s why I’m taking you out to dinner. I knew you’d forget to eat if I didn’t.”

As he says this my stomach growls and I realize I haven't eaten since breakfast this morning.

“See, exactly what I’m talking about. Have you ate at all today?” He asks.

“Yeah…breakfast around…9am.” I confess.

“Anna! I knew I should have found you on my lunch break.”

I just shrug and give him my most innocent smile. It’s not long before he is pulling into the parking garage of his apartment building.

“I thought we were going out to eat?” I question him as I get out of the car.

“I changed my mind.”

As soon as we walked inside Alex got on the phone to order chinese food to be delivered. I went to the closest and got some comfy clothes to change into. I climb onto his bed and turn on the tv. He walks over and stares down at me.

“Did you get all of your studying done?” He asks.

“Yep. I don’t think my brain could take much more information.”

I squeal as he jumps on the bed with me. He wraps his arms around my waist and starts trailing kisses up my neck.

“So I get your undivided attention for the rest of the night?” He whispers in my ear before gently nibbling on my ear lobe.

A moan escapes my lips as I nod my head. His fingers lift the bottom hem of my shirt and remove it in haste. As he starts on the waistband of my pants I subconsciously question why I even put new clothes back on.

"Well Miss Thomson if your mind take anymore information I guess I will just have to teach your body a few new things." He smirks at me.
