is she divine?
    is it the wine?

(mari's pov)
19:30
We sit, enjoying our wine. We discuss business and some small talks.

"So, Felix. Just some general questions, what's your favorite color?" I ask, which I could make a guess but, rude to assume.

"Black." he says, knew it! "What's your favorite color?" he asks, staring at me with an unusual look in his eyes.

"Pink," I say, he looks at my face, he looks like he's scanning for something. "Another question, what's your favorite animal?" I ask, staring at him.

"Cats." he says, smiling.

I look at him, the smile wasn't a normal smile. He reminded me of a child, not in a bad way, more like a child who had just had their favorite ice cream flavor handed to them.

"Yours?" he asks, grabbing his wine glass and swishing it.

"Hamsters!" I say, thinking of them makes me squeal, with their cute faces, "but I also am quite fond of cats too!" I say, thinking about my childhood kitten, Tikki.

"I had a ginger cat when I was younger, I got her at age 9, and we grew up together, she died of old age when I turned 19." I say, a small smile appearing on my face just remembering my sweet minou.

"I had a cat in my youth as well," he says, putting his wine glass on the table, "my mother named him Plagg, he was a black cat. He ran away shortly after my mothers death." he says, with a sour expression on his face.

"I'm sorry." I say, giving him a short, but sincere look.

"Don't apologize, you don't need to apologize for everything." he snaps, I sit back in my chair, looking wide-eyed.

"My apologies, I shouldn't have let my anger get the best of me." he says, pouring more wine into each of our glasses.

The waiter comes over, breaking the tension between Felix and I.

"What would you two like tonight?" she says, holding out her notepad.

"I'll have whatever he is having." I say, crossing my arms in my chair, checking my phone.

"Two plates of the lamb please." he says, his eyes full of desire.

"Alright, it'll be out in 15-30 minutes." she says, turning away.

I check the menu, 95 EUROS? WHAT?

"Felix, take back my order! That lamb is too expensive!" I say, holding up my menu.

"No it is not, I told you before, please let me pay." he says, looking unfazed by the prices.

"What? You don't even care?!" I say, while my eyes are about to bulge out my head.

"Nope." he says with a huge grin on his face.

I sigh and sit back in my seat, my face blaring red and I start to sweat.

"Here you two lovebirds go!" she says, placing two plates of delicious looking food in front of us.

"Thank you!" I say, neatly drooling from the smell.

She walks away, We both pick up our knives and forks and start eating.

I take my first bite, instantly, I feel like i'm in heaven! The lamb was perfectly cooked, perfect taste, perfect everything.

"This is amazing!" I exclaim, looking at Felix.

"Indeed it is." he says, taking a second bite of the lamb.

After Felix paid the bill, he helped me up with my crutches and we left the nice restaurant.

It's dark, but that didn't last long, the instant clicks of cameras and the flashes blinded me. I instantly have the reflex to cover my eyes, but I forgot i'm on crutches. I feel a pair of strong arms catch me, and help me to my feet again.

"Thanks Felix," I say, relieved I didn't just fall in-front of 40 paparazzis.

We hop into his tesla, and he speeds off.

"Dinner tonight was one of the best meals i've ever had in my life, thank you again Felix." I say, holding my hands in my lap.

"You're welcome Marinette." he says, he turns on some classical music in his car, the calming sound of piano and violin making me instantly drowsy.

I wake up to someone tapping my shoulder, Shoot! Don't tell me I fell asleep in Felix's car!

"You fell asleep." Felix says, standing outside the passengers car door, already holding my crutches.

"Oh, my bad!" I say, stepping out of the car. I grab my crutches and make my way to the lobby of my apartment complex.

"Bye Felix!" I say, trying to end the night good.

"Bye," a pause in his voice, "Marinette." he says, almost like he wanted to say something else. I see a dissatisfaction in his eyes as he goes in his car.

(dinner, but felix's pov)

We sit there, eating our lamb.

I look at Marinette, she took her first bite of the lamb, her eyes instantly lit up. She looks like she was about blow up in happiness.

"This is amazing!" she exclaims, looking at me with those eyes, her bright blue eyes.

"Indeed it is." I say, taking my second bite of lamb.

It was dark outside, Marinette and I were making our way to my car, when all of a sudden, the bright lights of the familiar paparazzi started flashing.

Marinette looked shocked, and she started falling. My reflexes quickly react and catch her. I sigh in relief.

I didn't want her to embarrass me.

"Thanks Felix." she says, her face going back to normal.

I open the car door for her, and she hops in. I take her crutches and I place them in the backseat.

I hop into the car and speed off, getting away from those damned paparazzi.

"Tonight was one of the best meals i've ever had in my life, thank you again Felix." she says, placing her hands in her lap.

No, thank you Marinette.

Was what I wanted to say.

"You're welcome Marinette." I say, turning on the classical music radio.

I soon see her drift off to sleep, we still had twenty minutes to go. I decided against waking her up.

I look at her sleeping face, peaceful. Her head falls against the seat, her eyelashes fall against her cheek.

But she's just a worker, nothing more.

When we make it to her apartment, I get out and grab her crutches.

I open the passenger door and tap her shoulder. She slowly wakes up, groaning. "You fell asleep." I say, holding her crutches out.

"Oh, my bad!" she says, grabbing her crutches and she started heading back. She turns around.

"Bye Felix!" she says, with a soft smile on her face.

"Bye," I pause, I wanted to thank her for joining me for dinner, but it felt so weird for me to say, "Marinette." I say, feeling disappointed in myself.
