I sat on the edge of my bed, on the phone with Brian.
"We said we'd leave this life behind, Dom. We promised." he said on the other side, sighing softly. He was right. We did.
"What are we supposed to do? Sit back and let him take away everything we love? I'm not doing that, Brian. It's not right." I said, clenching my fist at the thought of him.
Charlie Robinson. He killed Letty, almost Mia. Worst part is? It's Elise's boyfriend.
"You're going to hurt her if you do it. Don't you care? Don't you love her?" he asked, already knowing the answer.
"I do, but it has to be done."

I gripped the steering wheel tightly, knowing exactly where I was going. Before I had left, I checked in on Elise.
She had been crying over that son of a bitch. He made her cry. He broke her heart. He left her.
All the more reason to kill him.
I pulled up outside of his house, anger boiling inside of me. I walked up and knocked on his door.
When I saw his face, anger took over. And that's when I lost it.
