Gerard

It'd been a few weeks, Gerard had been seeing Hayley twice a week for two hour sessions. It was beginning to drive him just a little bit crazy. She had pretty much forced him to quit drinking, but y'know...old habits die hard. He managed to get a few drinks in every couple of days, if he was lucky. To be honest, though, the sessions made him feel a little better. Not much, but a little. Hayley seemed to carry happiness and light with her everywhere she went. It rubbed off on him sometimes. But once he got home, he punished himself for feeling so happy in Hayley's presence. He'd managed to break a finger during one of his punishment sessions, Hayley had asked about it too. I slammed it in a door. He had said, but she still looked skeptical. Whatever. She really shouldn't be so hopeful. I'm a nobody. I'll never love again. I'll never have kids. And I refuse to talk.

I'm a broken record. Repeating over and over and over again. I killed my wife and daughter. I did it and Hayley will never convince me otherwise.
