"Maybe I put too much salt in it? Or maybe she doesn't like onion soup?"
"Pepa has always liked onion soup" Bruno said, putting a hand on his older sister's shoulder "I don't think your kitchen is the problem, Juli"
"So what is it? She hasn't eaten with us in days...you don't think...you don't think she's in any trouble, do you?" Julieta asked concerned.
It was the fifth time in the week that Pepa, refused to eat with them. The redhead always said that she wasn't hungry or that she was tired, to leave the leftovers for her when she came back. And Julieta was worried.
"I'm more worried about her escapes" Bruno admitted "since when does Pepa care about shining her shoes to get out?"
"You're right...this is very weird"
The two brunette triplets sighed in unison. They didn't want to tell mom what was happening with their sister, because they didn't want to scare her and they didn't want to get Pepa in trouble, so they had been covering for her, but they were running out of excuses.
"We have to find out what's going on with her" Julieta said decisively
"And how do we do that? She won't tell us"
"Then we will have to follow her"
The girl turned off the stove and took off her apron before taking her brother's hand and pulling him out of the kitchen with her.
"Wait, do you want to spy on her?" Bruno asked worried "she's going to kill us!"
"Only if she finds out" the other replied, without letting him go "so shut up so she doesn't hear us. Come on, she can't have gone far"
Bruno sighed in defeat, knowing that it was never a good idea to contradict any of his sisters. Pepa and Julieta might seem like polar opposites, but they were both just as terrifying when they were upset and he wasn't about to be the human sacrifice of either of them.

You smiled when the bell on the door rang, indicating that a new client had arrived, and you saw that it was the red-haired girl. You loved working in your family's bakery, you liked serving people and the smell of freshly baked bread, but you had to admit your favorite part was seeing Pepa Madrigal walk in with a rainbow above her head. She always brightened up your evenings and you were happy that she had come every day for the last week.
"Hi Peep" you greeted warmly "What can I offer you today?"
"Hello Y/N" she answered, walking to the stool in front of the counter "I don't know, what's new?"
"Well I didn't have time to create a new recipe for you today" you joked "but I saved you a cinnamon roll, I hope that's enough"
"Oh well, if that's all you got"
You two looked at each other for a moment before laughing. This was a little game between you, you knew that cinnamon rolls were the redhead's favorite and she always asked for them, so you made sure to save her the best ones.
Pepa smiled goofily as you turned around to pull out a tray of cinnamon rolls. She knew that if her mother or Julieta found out that she came here every afternoon to eat sweet bread, she would probably end up grounded for a month. But she couldn't help it. You were her safe place and she felt the need to see you at least once a day.
"Here you go" you said, placing the rolls in front of her "my best cinnamon rolls for my best girl"
You winked at her and laughed behind your hand as the redhead blushed deeply, causing a soft mist to envelop her. She was adorable. You frowned a bit when you noticed two figures looking out the window pane. But you decided not to say anything when the girl in the blue dress put a finger on her lips as a sign of silence and dragged the boy in green with her away from there.
