Chapter 4 - Sick

Later that day

Ahana and Aryan were sitting in the hall waiting for Kiara, she hasn't come back yet.
"Do you think they would accept the deal?" Aryan asked.
"Who? The land associates?"
"No. They toh already accepted it na I mean the ambassadors."
"Well...first of all there is no reason for them to not because I doubt if the amount is less and second even if they don't just because of the exclusively part….then we can't do anything it's our policy. You must be ready to deal with some other one." Ahana replied in a cool voice.
Easier said than done.
"But they are the best suitable and you always said to choose the best for TIERRA." Aryan insisted.
This made Ahana think for a while.
"Then we will make sure that they accept it." she said standing as Kiara came.

Time skip: 2 days

It's been 3 days since Ahana came to South Korea. All the project formalities are going well, just there is no response from HYBE. Even the engagement preparations of Aryan and Kiara are going well. The engagement is at Jeju island.
It's the 4th day already.

Morning (9 a.m.)
Ahana came downstairs for breakfast. Only Kiara was there in the dining area.
"Good morning."
"Good morning." both greeted each other.
"Where is Aryan?" Ahana asked while serving herself.
"He has gone to check on the preparations of the engagement. He will be back by tomorrow."
Ahana nodded her head with a small oh.
"What happened to you?" Kiara asked suddenly, frowning.
"What?" Ahana looked at her confusingly.
"You are looking pale. Are you alright?"
Ahana forwarded her hand and checked her forehead.
"No...I- since I woke up I am feeling a little  weakness. I guess I have a little fever." She said in a dismissing tone.
Kiara stood up and walked by her side. She kept her hand on her forehead.
"IS THIS WHAT YOU CALL A LITTLE FEVER??!!" She suddenly shouted.
"Why the hell are you shouting??!" Ahana replied irritated.
"BECAUSE YOUR FOREHEAD IS AS HOT AS A FRYING PAN RIGHT NOW!!" She again shouted.
"Calm down Kiara. And for fuck's sake stop shouting. It's not a big deal I will just take some medicine after the breakfast." Ahana said trying to calm her and herself both down. She gets irritated very easily when she is sick.
Conscious- not that you usually don't..
Shut up.
"That you will do obviously and in addition you are not going anywhere today. You will just rest today." She said in a motherly tone.
"I was not going anywhere today anyway." Ahana said rolling her eyes.
They ate their breakfast after this quietly.

After some time Kiara's phone ringed. She saw it was Aryan calling.
"What happened?" Kiara asked directly.
"Hi to you too baby, well I am doing fine."
Aryan said sarcastically in his oh so sweet tone. Kiara chuckled.
"Well I would be happy talking to you all day but I am in a hurry right now Kiara so where is Ahana? Why is she not picking up my calls? Has she blocked me or something?"
"Well… she is in the living room watching TV and her phone must be upstairs. Don't worry she doesn't hate you that much to block you. What happened?"
"I don't know if I should feel relieved or stressed right now. Actually I had a meeting scheduled today but my secretary forgot about it. And now I have reached Jeju, I can't return on time even if I try. So I was going to ask Ahana to attend it on my behalf." Aryan said sounding guilty.
"Aryan…. actually Ahana is not well today. She has high fever. I am not sure if she can-" Kiara was cut off as Ahana took the phone from her.

Ahana's pov

I was going towards the kitchen when I heard Kiara.
"Well… she is in the living room watching TV and her phone must be upstairs. Don't worry she doesn't hate you that much to block you. What happened?" I mentally rolled my eyes at her words.
It must be Aryan. I thought and was going to leave but then I heard her saying,
"Aryan…. actually Ahana is not well today. She has high fever. I am not sure if she can go-"
Where do I have to go? Without thinking I headed inside and took the phone from Kiara, cutting her off.
"What happened?" I asked.
"You have fever? How are you feeling? Took the medicine? Should I arrange a doctor for you there?" Aryan bombarded me with worried questions.
"I am fine Aryan. I asked some staff to get the medicines I will take it when they come. Now tell me what happened?"
"Oh that? Nothing I was just talking to Kiara about the engagement preparations." He lied. I could tell he lied.
"Tell me the truth or I can ask your secretary anytime."
Aryan sighed from the other side. "It was really nothing Ahana."
"Fast."
"I had a meeting scheduled with HYBE'S BTS today as they said that they have some doubts in the contracts but my secretary forgot about it and now I am in Jeju." he answered reluctantly.
"And you want me to take it over for you?"
"I did want that but now as you are sick let's just postpone it for the next 2 days."
"Are you crazy? You have your fucking engagement after 2 days you dumbass. I will go."
"No you are not going anywhere, just rest at home. I am going to postpone it!"
"No way in hell am I letting you do that!"
We were shouting at each other when Kiara cuts us off.
"Guys guys!! I have a better solution. Aryan, you don't want Ahana to go out right? And Ahana you want to attend the meeting right?"
We both said "ha" at the same time.
"Then why not just ask those artists to come here at our house? The meeting will also be done and you will not have to go anywhere. How's that?"
"It's not okay!" We both disagreed at the same time.
"You guys know I never like business associates at home." I said disagreeing.
"And just because they will come at home doesn't mean she wouldn't have to work Kiara. I am not letting her go because she should rest. So I am going to postpone." Aryan said his part.
"You are NOT doing that!" I said again in final tone.
Kiara sighed heavily and said,
"The situation is different right now Ahana and you will just have to take them to your home office. Who is asking you to give them a home tour or ask them for dinner? And for you Aryan, I know what you mean but we need to think practically too, we can't postpone it and don't worry I am at home too I will make sure she is okay during the meeting."
Being already tired I just agreed.
After some seconds of thinking Aryan also agreed. "Okay then I will arrange it." He said cutting the call.
"Please go upstairs and rest for sometime. When they will come I will inform you." Kiara requested me.
I nodded and went upstairs to sleep.

Jimin's pov
We were in the company getting ready for the meeting with TIERRA.
"Attention guys." one staff member came in and announced.
"The venue for the meeting has changed. It will take place at the chairwoman's house and not in our office."
"Now what?" Yoongi hyung groaned.
"But why did the venue change suddenly? And at her home?" Hobi hyung questioned.
"And wasn't the person holding the meeting was the CEO and not the chairwoman?" Jungkook wondered.
"That's unprofessional of us to be at their home when we haven't even signed the contract." I said.
"Okay enough guys. Let's just go there. We will see." Namjoon hyung said.
We all nodded and left for the house.
