Chiyo, on her way to knock on Pi's door, turned around. "Where's James?" She wondered out loud.
Eventually, she spotted him, wading into the disgusting swamp water. "Oh no!"
Chiyo tapped on Jay's shoulder repeatedly and frantically. "Jay!! Jay!! He's gonna DIE!!!" She shrieked.
Jay shrugged. "Why should I care? Darko died too, we didn't give a damn."
Sabine nodded in agreement. "At this point, it's not as if he's an asset to us."
And yet, Katja decided to have pity. All her efforts for James in the past would be for nothing! So she mounted Mortifa once more and trotted down the winding, unstable wooden bridge.
As she reached the edge where Peanut stood, screaming, Katja dismounted in one fluid motion and jumped off the bridge into the water.
The dark would not claim her, she was already one with it. She walked further into the murky water.
"You idiot." Katja hissed once she reached James, grabbing him by the arm and pulling him back toward the bridge. "Haven't you ever heard of will-o-the-wisps?"
James struggled against her unnatural strength. "No.. No.. I have to.. I.."
"Stop it!" Katja shrieked.
