[One week later, location: a treehouse , time: 2:55 PM] And so Mugen spent the following week looking for a name for the god, they narrowed it down to four names: Alex, Joey, Charlee , and Inanis (they literally translated void into Latin).
"So, why are you putting so much thought into this, Mugen?" , the god asked. "Because, names are important- they help identify you and some people find it comforting to be called by their name when spoken to." , was Mugen's reply. "You mortals are strange, anyways, perhaps I could help you decide? What have you narrowed it down to?" Mugen showed the god the paper with the names on it, the paper was covered in notes. The god took a moment to read through the notes before speaking up "Well I don't know much about human culture ,so I will just go based on how cool I think it sounds- Alex seems cool because of the 'x' at the end, honestly Joey and Charlee seem quite basic, and Inanis, " they paused for a moment "that sounds really cool- that is my choice then. Inanis." ,the god-uh, Inanis, ranted on for a bit. Mugen listened to them carefully, occasionally nodding along, "That's a great choice, Inanis." Mugen smiled as he said this. Inanis smiled back slightly.
The two then spent the day chatting, Mugen explaining human things, Inanis asking questions, they both could tell they were going to be the best of friends (or more). As the night neared, Mugen decided the show Inanis some movies and at around midnight he fell asleep in the gods arms.
Everything was so peaceful. And Inanis had decided that it was going to protect this mortal. He was it's mortal.
