SIX YEARS LATER.

The weather forecast is for a very heavy rainstorm today.

In the morning, the temperature was still 39 degrees, the heat wave was surging, looking out through the floor-to-ceiling windows of the office, the sunlight on the glass of the nearby office buildings was blinding like razor blades. In the afternoon, suddenly the black clouds pressed in, the wind swept, and the world was chaotic.

Lisa is busy with her work, did not care about the weather changes, only in the thunder when looking out of the window, a second later and then continue to look at the computer.

Today Friday, she worked overtime as usual until ten o' clock at night. When she finished work, there was no one at the office.

She called a car, closed the door and left.

It was still pouring outside.

As expected, not long after sitting in the car, the traffic jam.

The rain worsened the road conditions, people driving home or rushing to their destinations, occupying lanes, changing lanes, grabbing lanes....blocked into a mess.

Regardless of the red light green light, the water is full. As if in the eyes of the people, the traffic lights are just a decoration.

Who said that people are far less disciplined than machines?

Outside the window, the rain is pouring, the sound of the horn is rising and falling, giving vent to irritation and impatience.

Lisa crooked in the back seat of the cab, yawned.

She had to go to the industrial park and the lab on the weekend, and she hadn't slept in a long time.

The cab moved one step at a time to her neighborhood and got stuck in traffic again.

Lisa rented in a neighborhood in the 80s, the neighborhood road is narrow, usually difficult to walk, not to mention the rainy day. This is just to the intersection, until the alley, that's the fate, absolutely can not enter.

She called Rose: "Rose, I don't have an umbrella"

The car moved to the entrance of the alley, the rain curtain muddy, can not see the scene outside. She couldn't stay in the car, so she pushed the door open and rushed out. The rain poured down no heavily that she stepped into the calf-deep water.

Wow, she was wearing High heels!

It was too late to save her.

Her eyes were lost in the rain and she couldn't tell where she was going.

"Little grass! Here!" Rose screamed, rushing towards her with an umbrella and a raincoat, handing her the raincoat in her hand: "Put it on, an umbrella won't help at all!"

Lisa put on the raincoat, her body was already half wet: "Oh My God, it's raining too much"

"Come here quickly" Rose hugged her, "Mieyon said Beijing has to have such rain every July. Damn, it's the same as our summer rainstorm there"

"This water is so dirty, I have to go back and wash my feet with laundry detergent. Lisa wailed, "My shoes, ruined!"

Rose gloated and laughed wildly, "Buy them again, little rich girl"

They walked in the late night rain strom in the alley, lined with old red-walled brick houses, a row of simple restaurants outside the neighborhood, Snacks, Guilin rice noodles, Chongqing spicy hot. The inside is a block of dark red faded six-story residential buildings in the district.
