Aji – The private lady-in-waiting for a Queen or Crown Princess; also the term for the nanny of the royal children
Baekgwan Hweui – Banquet where the court finally meets the royal bride
Baekjeong – Lowest caste in Joseon society. The 'Untouchables'.
Baetssi Daenggi – A small piece of ornament placed on top of the parted hair; typically worn by single women. The strings holding the baetssi would be tied behind the ears or combined with the main braid behind.
Bihyeongak – The Study of the Crown Prince
Binjohyeon – Ceremony where the newly married royal couple meet the King and Queen
Binyeo - 8-inch-long hairpin worn by married women
Boksunga-Hwachae – Peach punch
Bongdanryeong – The invitations were sent out with submission details to all qualifying families for the Royal Selection Process
Bongjam – The phoenix-headed binyeo worn by the Crown Princess
Bujeok – A shamanistic talisman
Byeolgung – A temporary outer palace where the future royal consort would prepare herself for the marriage. Also known as the Detached Palace. Taepyeonggwan, Eouigung Palace, Unhyeongung Palace, and Andong had served as Byeolgung as various different points in history.
Chaedan – Chest filled with gifts
Chaekbi – Fourth rite of marriage which is merely the coronation ceremony for the Queen or investiture ceremony for the Crown Princess
Cheongju -Rice wine
Cheopji – A small piece of ornament placed on top of the parted hair; typically worn by married woman or high-level female officials. The strings holding the cheopji would be tied behind the ears or combined with the main braid behind.
Chima – Generic term for the skirt worn with a Korean hanbok
Chinyeong – Fifth rite of marriage where the royal groom's procession goes to the Detached Palace to greet the royal bride

Daenggi Meori – This hairstyle was very popular with young single women. The hair was parted forward and braided towards the back. At the end of the braid, it was tied with a long red braid loop called a daenggi.
Daejongga – Great Family or clan
Daeran Chima – Long skirts
Daesu – Ceremonial headdress
Dalryeongpo – Round-collared robe worn by court officials. The color of the robe and the embroidered front indicated the status of the wearer.
Dangui – Topcoat worn over a hanbok. The first and back are lengthen until they reach the knees.
Dansupo – The customary gift of dried beef
Deurim Daenggi – Ribbons hung from either side of the hairpin of the wedding yongjam
Donggung – Crown Prince's compound within the royal palace
Dongroe – Sixth and final rite of marriage where the royal bride would enter the palace and exchange bows, drinks, and food with the royal groom before completing the first night ritual
