i kept hearing my phone going off in my sleep i tried to ignoring it hoping who ever was calling would take the hint and leave me alone but they didn't i groaned turned over to answer the phone "hello" i know i sounded annoyed "sorry ma did i wake you up" i couldn't recognize the voice i pulled my phone from my face and i didn't know the number either
"who is this?" i got up from my bed slowly just a little confused trying to figure who this was "aww baby girl you don't know who this is" i tried my best to remember the voice but i just couldn't "man stop playing on my phone who is this !!!" at this point i was pissed
"brandon" he laughed my eyes widen at the name and i dropped the phone i could hear him laughing before he end the call i was stuck on him calling i was scared i looked around and noticed von sleeping peacefully next to me not trying to wake him up
i slowly got out of the bed and walked to the bathroom closing the door i was shaking a little before breaking down i started crying i couldnt understand why he was calling now why he was back as i was in the bathroom i could hear my phone going off i opened the door
i saw von up and with my phone in his hand with the call on speaker "sup" he said i could hear laughing "you thought i wouldn't find you" von looked at the phone confused "nigga who is this?" he said sound irritated i knew this wasnt gonna end well i thought to myself
"who the fuck is this" brandon said yelling on the phone von wasnt the type to talk he hung the phone up and turned and looked at me"who was that" i looked at him shaking scared out my mind he noticed and got up walked up to he wrapped his arm
"whats wrong lani" he said in a soft voice i sighed looking up at him "we need to talk i gotta tell you something" i pulled him to the bed and we sit on the bed "just know what im gonna tell you is hard but i have to" i sighed not knowing how to even start this but i had to figure it out i needed help
"when i was 15 years old and still living with my aunt i had great life or so i thought but while i was still living with my aunt i meet this guy he was so sweet and nice but i never give him a chance because i was looking for anything but he wouldn't give up he wanted me even if he had to wait" i said softly
"so he did he would hang out with me take me to dinner you know things we do and i was happy i had somewhat a perfect life and a perfect guy i lost my virginity to him but once i turned 16 everything went down hell" i took a deep breath because i knew i was gonna start crying
"my aunt kicked me out and told me i had to figure life out all by my self my best friend turned on me and a guy from school told everyone i give him std which i didn't he was upset because i wouldn't go out with him" i had a tear fall from my eye and fredo wiped it away "don't cry ma keep going"
"well brandon find out and was mad he thought i give him something so he called me to come over and he would pick me up i didn't think much of it because he didn't sound mad over the phone so he texted he was outside and i went to the car he drove to this alley i remember asking him why he stopping here he just laughed" i took a deep breath again
"he said he knew i was a slut from the first day he saw me and that i shouldn't of wasted his time and how could give him an std i tried to explain to him i didn't have anything but he didn't care next thing i knew he was punching me he dragged me out the car and start beating me up like a a man off streets he stood over me and pulled his gun out and shot me in the leg and shoulder and walked off" i looked at von who just looked so pissed
"i thought that was it you know like his done and i'm gonna be left for dead but it wasn't he made a call i guess and three men came and he let each one of them rape me over and over while he watched the whole thing once they all finished he laughing kicked me one last time and left but at that point i couldnt scream or cry nobody was gonna save me i was gonna die right there" i tried to calm my tears down a bit but they was just coming down
"but i told myself i had to get up so i did i didn't have much strength or balance but i held the wall for support finally i made it to the end of the alley and i saw a store i walked as fast as i could and i heard brandon yelling for me to stop" i looked at von as he clenched his jaw
" i didn't i keep going till i got to the front of the store and banged on the door i looked back and saw brandon running towards i got so scared i start screaming for help and finally the owner opened the door and locked it he called the cops and once they got there i was taken to the hospital after all i never heard from him till now" von looked at me with anger in his eyes
"what you mean till now was that him on the phone" von said sounding angrying i sighed "he called me on my phone" before i could finish von got up and pulled his phone out "yo get here now i need y'all to take lani and deya to safe house now.....naw we'll talk later" he hang up and looked at me
"i will never in my life let anybody hurt you while i'm still on this earth you and deya are my everything's and i will protect y'all both don't you worry" he kissed my forehead and honestly i felt safe with him
