Mk had known of his mentors and yours relationship, it was deemed one of the most romantic love stories and tragedies through all of China.
'The Great Sage and Amaryllis'
It was said to be your favorite flower, Sun Wukong quickly corrected him with a small huff and a mock annoyed look. Cursing the book writers for getting your tale wrong.
"What do you mean their favorite flower wasn't Amaryllis!?" Your love pouted and crossed his arms. "It means exactly what I said! (Nickname) had a mild- MILD!!" He wagged his finger, tail balancing all his weight as he crossed his legs. "Attraction to Amaryllisis, and that's only because it was the fairest flower they sprouted for the earth." He crossed his arms, a pout tracing his lips. If you were there, you'd cooe at him for how cute he looked while defending you.
The thought struck a small cord I him, but it caused a big reaction. One Mk noticed when he saw his mentor visibly deflate.
The rise and fall of you, Amaryllis, (Name) was a sad one and left many in tears.
During the legendary fight against DBK and Sun Wukong you were there.
Sun Wukongs staff proved not to be enough to seal the Demon into the ground. So did what you had to do, pulling the earth from its roots you were able to trap said demon, but at what cost?
You.
In order for the spell to work you had to use a seal with greater power than the soil of the earth instead. So without thinking you wished your love one last goodbye, heart shattering when you saw the distraught look upon his face as he tried to rush towards you. Wind whipping past his face as he clawed at the air around him to get to you. But it was too late. The seal had been bindied and you were forever embedded into the mountain.
Mk pursed his lips as he stared at the staff in his hands. He knew the tale. The first time Tang had told him he had been sobbing to Mei about it for weeks.
Scratching the back of his nape he uttered, "Wha-What was their favorite flower?" Sun Wukong looked at his successor with a small smile.
"Roses."
As time passed green grass, and fresh daisy's bloomed around you. A singular rose sprouted right were your heart would be.
"Why roses?" Wukong bit his lip, a blush coming to his face as well as a naughty look. Mk waved his hands wildly. "NOPE! NEVERMIND! DON'T WANNA KNOW ANYMORE!!" The Sage let out a hearty laugh. "Oh c'mon! It's not that bad!"
"Then what was with that loo-!?"
"Where should I begin?"
"HEY-"
It had have been your first date, Wukong had finally had the courage to ask to court you and what better way to do it than taking you to the beginning of life festival?
You both had fun, sneaking food, scaring kids and elders. It was the most mischief you had ever gotten into and you were doing it with the one you loved. As the night died down you both rested underneath the stars.
"Oh, and there's the big dipper--" You hummed, leaning closer to his side. "Mhm, and that's the little dipper." You let out a short breath in awe, hanging the stars had to be a big deal for the gods above, you thanked them for sharing this moment with Wukong.
Speaking of the Sage, he could only stare at you in mesmeration. The way the stars twinkled in your eyes, the soft breeze that blew through your (short/long/maybe non-existent) hair. And your lips, God bless those (fair/plump) lips of yours. Shining a gorgeous red he couldn't stop himself from leaning down and pressing a firm kiss against them.
Swallowing the gasp that escaped your mouth he placed a gentle hand on your cheek, rubbing his thumb across your cool skin. It was your first kiss, the emotions that rippled through your body were undescribable. Sparks of passion, flying colors everything you were feeling was so new, so raw it left you dancing on air.
He pushed you back, hands gently clasping your (plump/lean) waist. You threw your hand back at the unexpected gesture and chuckles escaped you both before you continued on.
It was a tingle, a tingle went down your arm to the tips of your earth bound fingers. You ignored it, more focused on the hand that trailed up your thigh, kisses getting lower-
"COULD YOU GET ON WITH IT!?" Mk shrieked, face hot in embarrassment at the dirty story his mentor was telling him. Wukong, not liking getting cut off shushed him. "I'm getting to that!" He huffed, "Now, where was I? Right!"
As his kisses trailed the pure skin of your neck, you felt the same tingle. This time only stronger, more demanding--too caught up in the bliss of Sun Wukongs delicate hands gripping the fat of your thighs you let out yelp. Causing The Great Sage to immediately let you go, actions ceasing thinking he was the cause of your distress.
"Ah! Shit, you ok (Nickname) I didn't overstep any boundaries or-"
"Sun look!"
You turned to him, a grip of soil in your hand and from the soil sprouted a flower neither of you had recognized, sharp thorns trailed the stem (the real reason your yelped) with large green leafs aligning the bade. And at the top the most beautiful shade of red petals you had ever seen. With twinkling eyes you uttered, so soft and sweet-
"Beautiful." Sun Wukong had ended his story, watching as Mk proceeded it.
"Wait, soooo (Name),,,,created the rose,,,because they got a little horny,,,?"
Wukong blinked, he had never thought of it that way. Puffing out air through his teeth he cupped his chin. "Damn, I guess when you put it like that yea,,,"
"EWWW GROSS GROSS GROSS!!! I SNIFF ROSE PETALS LIKE ALL THE TIME!!! AND YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THEY CREATED THEM BY- EWWW!!!"
Sun threw his head back in laughter, genuine laughter.

I put a lot of thought into this and decided to make this fic a coping fic for Sun Wukong having to deal without his love being there by his side anymore--its for shits and giggles and a lot of this stuff was made up off the top of my head.
At first I was thinking I would make this into a reincarnated lover fic but idk 🤷 maybe I'll do a chapter where Wukong sees someone that looked like his past darling
