"Marry me."

The words were soft and, so short but held so much love behind them.

"I wish I said yes that day," He blinked slowly, rubbing his middle fingers, tussles of his marmalade colored fur tickingling the creses of each one. MK stared at his mentor, it wasn't everyday he saw him so vulnerable. As selfish as it sounded MK always felt a tinge of happiness during these times, it gave him a sense that his master trusted him, trusted him with these little moments.

Mk silently urged the Great Sage to continue.

"I always- I always thought we'd be together forever you know? As chessy as it sounds, heh." He pursed his lips. Cloud above the ground, his back resting against the pillowy softness. "I just thought that, I never thought that I'd loose them."

"Maybe if I had said yes, maybe if I hadn't said that marriage were just dumb traditions for mortals then,,," He sighed.

"Then maybe they'd still be here."

Mk bit his bottom lip, resting on the stairs of the temple he peered upon his master. "D-Do you still miss them?" Sun snorted as if asking 'what kind of question is that?'

"Everyday Kid, everyday."
