Chapter 5: Guardian

A person stands in the center of a dark and empty stadium with six powerful Pokémon in front of her. The lights that were farther in front lit up and shone down six different targets which caused the person to narrow their eyes and the Pokémon to glare at their selected targets.

"You may begin." An elderly male voice said through the stadium intercoms.

The person smirked and aimed their sights at the first target.

"Alright, let's start this off with Psychic!" the person commanded and the first Pokémon started to glow a purple\pink hue.

The target glowed the same hue and immediately crumpled up like a piece of paper, the targets themselves were solid steel mind you.

"Up next, Stone Edge!" the person commanded to the second Pokémon and it jumped up.

It landed on the ground with an earth cracking thud which caused large and sharp stones to shoot out and stab through the second target at all sides.

"Now, Sludge Bomb!" the person commanded and the third Pokémon generated a purple sludge ball between its petals for arms.

The Pokémon fired the ball and upon hitting one of the targets, it exploded into a purple spray of poisonous acid that not only destroyed its intended target, but melted the remaining ones as well.

"C'mon now. At least give us a challenge." The person said, looking at one of the cameras with a smirk.

The voice on the intercom laughed "I knew you'd say that."

The stage ahead opened up and lifted to reveal a giant mechanical Machoke that glared down at them with a flex.

"Good luck~" the voice on the intercom teased.

The person smirked and looked at the three first Pokémon that had attacked already.

"You guys did great. Hang back while these three take their turn, I'm sure they've been itching for one." The person said and the three that had attacked enthusiastically agreed and moved behind them while they looked at their remaining and most powerful three, "You three ready?"

One nodded seriously, another just stayed silent and the last smirked, brandishing its sharp fangs.

"Alright. Left! Right! Center! Go!" the person commanded and the three Pokémon separated, dashing towards their designated positions.

The giant Machoke went for a powerful punch with its right fist, but the person in charge of the Pokémon was quick to retaliate.

"Ice Beam!" the person commanded.

The Pokémon dashing towards the right arm fired a blue beam from its mouth, freezing not only the whole arm solid, but the rest of the Machoke's body as well, stopping it in its tracks.

"Close Combat!" the person commanded.

The Pokémon dashing towards the middle increased its blinding speeds and disappeared from view. It was going so fast, it seemed like it was teleporting, only appearing briefly with each strike to the giant Machoke's body. It finished its assault by appearing right in front of it and walking towards its trainer without looking back, the Machoke's ice shattering and the whole body exploding, leaving the head as it started falling.

'Always gotta be the cool kid.' The person thought with a smirk, "Alright, finish it! Dragon Rush!"

The remaining Pokémon roared and surrounded itself in a purple aura, shooting towards the head like a missile. It drilled through the head, causing it to explode. The Pokémon landed on the ground and let out a roar once again, celebrating its victory.
