"Woah I didn't mean to walk in on you changing"
Techno said while looking away.
I blinked at him with confusion.
*realizes*
"ohh- you mean my bra?"
I asked.
"Mhm."
He nodded.
I grinned seeing his ears turn a light pink.
He was blushing.
Never knew a snake could blush.
"Wha? You've never seen a woman only wearing a bra?
I tease
"No."
He responded.
I thought he was joking.
I mean I was only teasing.
He's probably seens tits before.
I mean he is around my age.
So I thought he was joking
"Huh?"
"I've never seen a woman underneath her clothes. I've never seen a woman in only a bra."
He stated.
' underneath her clothes. Tf- who even says that he sounds like a Greek God or something.'
I thought to myself
" I'm not 'only' in a bra you know? But huh. That's unexpected of you"
I said walking back into the bathroom to finish cleaning my wound.
"So what's your story?"
I asked him.
( btw your in the bathroom cleaning your wound with the door open so you can talk with techno and technos on your bed looking towards you. Hope that makes sense👍)
" I joined the police force when I was 19. I was one of the weakest rookies back then. I got bullied a lot by my colleagues to the point i was willing to give up and quit. I got betrayed by my colleagues as well. I was forced to take the blame for their actions. And for their death caused by others."
He explained.
After that it was silent.
To be honest I did feel bad for him.
Maybe that's why he's acting so cold and grounded.
I wouldn't blame him tho.
Being betrayed by anyone hurts.
Especially colleagues.
I mean a snake has layers.
So I guess this is technos layers.
A snake sheds it's skin.
And when the new skin gets exposed to air it's uncomfortable at first.
I'm guessing this is technos first time telling anyone about his history.
I looked at him seeing how his face softened.
It seems like no one has heard techno talk about his past or about anything like this.
I guess I'm the first one.
Looking back at the mirror I opened my mouth to respond.
But i hesitated at first.
" I know how that feels like. Betrayal. It hurts. And it's unfair. But when things are unfair it makes it fair in someways."
I started.
" I guess that's the funny thing. Getting betrayed by anyone no matter what relationship you have with them hurts.
But you can't stop it. That's what makes it fair. And I'm sorry that happened to you techno. Someone like you shouldn't have ever experienced Betrayal like that. Especially at a young age"
I explained while taking out the bullet.
"Your right."
He said.
After that it was silent for awhile.
(Im Hella sleepy rn so this might not make that much sense but I tried 😭👍)
I noticed that techno was looking at my picture frames that I had placed on my night stand.
" that's my dad."
I said as I rapped fresh bandages around my wound.
"I heard about what happened to him 13 years ago. I'm sorry for your loss"
He said.
"Nah its alr don't worry. Yes I still miss him but I can't change what happened. It's in the past so don't worry."
I reassure him.
He looked over his shoulder to see me walk towards him.
"Don't worry I have a shirt on now."
I tease.
He looked back at the frames.
Checking each one of them.
They all have stories.
Some good.
Some bad.
But ether way it's still memories.
"Whats this?"
He asked showing me a picture.
I noticed what it was and laughed.
" that's me and my childhood pets trying to take a family photo. Even tho the photo turned out like shit I decided to keep it because it's a memory I wanna keep"
I explained.
Ah what good memory. It's sad I don't have that many.
I mean.
Now I rarely have time to appreciate anything.
Because of work.
Ever since joining the police force at 16 I've been busy.
But I couldn't do anything.
I was so young when it all happened.
"Lay down. You've been through enough today."
Techno said looking up me.
"I guess."
I said sitting down next to him.
"Whats on your mind? Somethings bothering you isn't it?"
He asked.
"Eh. It's nothing really."
I said trying not to talk about my thoughts.
" you sure? You know you can tell me I won't judge you"
He said to me
I chuckle in response
" I just met you this morning. I dont even know a lot about you. I dont think ima tell a stranger my problems"
I explained but he just sighed
" I mean we have to work together for two weeks so I feel like we should get to know each other"
He said as he stood up from my bed and walked over to my desk and sat in my chair and grabbed the file from the table.
" ima see if I can get more information about the case. You get some rest"
"Huh? Wait- no im fine."
I stated
" I mean you only got like 30 minutes of sleep and if you wanna solve this case you need more sleep than just 30 minutes"
He explained.
Shit
We both knew he was right.
" nah its fine"
I said even tho I was still tired
( you sleep alot okay?-)
" no. Y/n you need to rest. And you need to let your shoulder heal. I'll see if I can get more information about the case."
He said
" You sure you don't need help?"
He just nods
*sigh*
" Fine. But when I wake up you better still be here."
I say as I laid back down on my back and placed my phone on my night stand.
" Don't worry I'll still be here p
Darling."
He said
I- did he just call me Darling?
Wtf-
I just met this guy this morning and he tried getting me killed
Now he's calling me Darling??😭
Jesus can't today get any worse?
I thought to myself
" what?-"
I said
" never mind. Get some sleep"
He said cutting me off.
And before I knew it my eyes were getting heavy and I when back to sleep- again
