the only time smoking inside her apartment wasn't forbidden was when there was a get together going on. which, there was, for four people.

- you fucking bitch! - mallory yelped as brianna pulled on her hair, audibly having a great time.

there was always physical abuse involved when these two got together, but nesrin didn't try to stop the havoc they caused. mallory and brianna play fought like two angry toddlers, for no apparent reason.

it could be the amount of weed they consumed in the last three hours, but there was also a possibility that their smoking had nothing to do with how they acted.

nesrin turned to face sumire, poking her on the nose to get her attention away from her phone. she turned her sober gaze to her with a questioning raise of her eyebrows.

- are you alright? you have been out of it all night. - nes asked with a kind tone.

- oh, you know... university things. - she shrugged, dropping her head slightly. - i fucked up one of my finals, so i have to take it the next tuesday, when i'll supposedly be back in tokyo for the summer.

- can i help? - she asked, putting a supporting palm on sumire's knee.

- i don't think so. - she answered, with swaying her head no. - i'm trying to reach the airline that i booked the ticket at, see if i can move it.

- well, good luck. and... just ask if you need anything, love. - nesrin said, stroking her arm carefully, before standing up to leave her at peace.

sumire was the youngest of the bunch, the trio adopted her only a year ago, when they bumped into her at the cinema's toilet. she was sobbing over her ass of an ex. luckily, the three girls were there to comfort her.

they asked her to sit next to them, which she gladly accepted. they ended up ordering takeout to brianna's place, which resulted in an unplanned sleepover. the rest is history.

sumire gave her a big smile as she resumed typing something. nes reached onto a table, right next to her window and pulled out a regular cigarette.

with the cancer stick between her lips, she walked into her kitchen, very close to her actual living room. mallory sat on the counter as she watched brianna mix a drink.

- oooh, give me a drag babe. - mallory waved her over, she passed it on without a word, her eyes on brianna.

even from behind, she was stunning. the pj shorts she wore hugged her curves in all the good places, her shiny blonde hair framing her shoulders perfectly.

becoming friends with such a girl like her was a surprise to nesrin. she could have sworn they would be enemies at an instant. he always envied girls who had blonde hair and literally any color eyes other than shit brown, which was hers.

all of her insecurities could be linked back to her younger sister. she had everything nesrin ever loved on herself, but exaggerated. lola had platinum blonde hair and almost black siren eyes.

she was also insufferable after 10 minutes, backhanded compliments and judgemental glances. she also instantly knew where it stung the most. a bitch.

to nesrin's surprise, brianna was kind and funny, they got along right off the bat. bri was kind of clueless, but it was apart of her giggly personality. she was the type you could always turn to if you were feeling bad. her smile would light the world up at once.

their friend group was comforting, full of people that placed other's happiness in front of theirs. this was one of the reasons nesrin surrounded herself with them, she felt it would be easier to be selfless when all around you were also just that.
