layne, mindy and tara all sat together at the back of an ambulance car. Chad stood next to them all of them sitting in silence as they thought about what happened to them the night before.
she now wore a bandaid on her cheek as her neck was bruised up and Mindy had her arm bandaged. Layne thought about the incident that happened in a place they where supposed to be safe, but no one is ever safe.
Layne thought about Anika and how she wasn't able to save her when they where fine and laughing minutes before ghost face got in - and Quinn is they would've checked up on her she wouldn't have been the first to go
Loud footsteps walk towards the scene, making everyone's head perk up. They all see Ethan walking towards them, ducking underneath the tape - Laynes face lit up at the sight of the boy
Chad was quick the react as he stormed over to the curly head boy, grabbing him by the collar of his shirt and pinned him against the cop car.
"Where were you?" Chad yelled at him, a glare on his face "What? When?" Ethan quickly yelled back.
"Last night" Chad yelled as he gripped Ethans shirt tighter "I had Econ you know this" Ethan said trying to explain himself "You disappeared when everyone almost gets killed" He pressed him up against the car harder
"Dude i was in a study hall with a hundred other people you can ask anyone" Layne tried to get up but Mindy pulled her back glaring at her
Ethan looked around trying to find Layne, He looked over at the crime his breath hitched "Who" he said not taking his eyes off the scene "Anika and Quinn" Chad quickly answered, Ethan let out a sigh of relief
"Ethan" Layne mumbled as he approached the girls "Step the fuck back, your at the top of my list" Mindy snapped as Ethan took a step back
"We'll talk over there" Layne got up taking Ethan hand and walking far from the group "Tell me your okay" Ethan pulled her into a tight hug as she nodded "Words, use your words Layne" He looked down at her his breath fanning onto her face
"I could be better Ethan, almost everyone i cared for is dead" She scoffed as he scanned her face bringing his hand up to her cheek "Im here now, im sorry i wasn't last night" His thumb moved against her cut as she groaned lightly, he dipped his head down onto her neck. her breath hitched
His hand goes up to her hair, tugging at the flimsy hair ties as her blonde strands fell loose. Ethan pushes all her hair over one shoulder so it wouldn't get in the way.
He left searing kisses onto her neck, moving his lips up and down the side of Layne's neck before pausing to murmur against her skin
Ethan carefully latched his teeth onto her neck careful not to interfere with the bruising. He felt her tense slightly, but then she's relaxing just as quickly, even as he nibbled on it trying to get a reaction out of her
Nothing. Layne gives him no reaction. Not even clamping her lips together nervously
He pulled back slightly, nearly ready to accept defeat, but when he looks up, Layne catches Ethan by surprise when she places her hands onto his clothed stomach and slowly brings them up to his chest to rest on Ethans shoulders before looping her fingers together behind his neck.
He furrow his brows at her ever so slightly while she smirks back calmly, tilting her head a little so that her hair fall back into her face
"You wanna kiss me?" she asks in a soft but sultry voice, eyes all dark and heavy. She makes sure Ethan looks carefully at her "Because you're acting like you want to kiss me." She whispered in his ear pulling back laughing slightly
Before Ethan could answer footsteps approached them, Layne quickly got off of Ethan "That's enough you two" Gale Weathers said as she walked past them "Hey Gale" Layne said covering bringing her hand up to cover her eyes from the sun
"That's a way to ruin the mood" Ethan mumbled walking up to the group "Just pretend that didn't happened" She told him not wanting to mess up anything between them
"Took you long enough" Mindy said wrapping the blanket she had around Layne "It would've lasted longer" She said as Mindy looked at her before looking at Ethan "Shut up" Layne smiled nudging Mindys shoulder lightly
"Come on let's go" Sam caught everyone's attention "Where" They all questioned "A shrine" Layne furrowed her brows "There's different types of shrine's you know" Layne spoke out as she caught up to the group
