Layne was still shaken up about the situation that had occurred earlier, Ethan hadn't left her side since worried that if he did something would happen to the only person he cared about
Layne and Ethan where sitting at the ledge of the stage as the rest of the group where coming up with a plan to capture Ghost Face once and for all
Layne shifted uncomfortably as she got chills "Here" Ethan mumbled taking off his zip up hoodie before placing it over Laynes shoulders, as she rested her head against him mumbling a "Thanks" under her breath
"Let's go" Detective Bailey declared looking around the room signaling for the teenagers to get up "Come on Lain" Ethan got off helping the girl down
"Sorry Gale, no press allowed" Kirby shrugged her shoulders "This is police business im good at my job too" The blonde FBI agent spoke up, before leading the group out of the building
"You kids catch a ride with me" Kirby's voice said behind them "Sound fine with me" Layne shrugged looking at Ethan as the both got on "Let's hope we don't get stabbed to death" Mindy whispered loudly as she got in with Chad
"Bailey, where gonna make a quick stop" Kirby yelled as she pulled into a store "Seriously" Chad said observing the store "Police work takes a while Chad"
"You know some of us haven't eaten" Layne said putting on Ethans zip up "Come on then" Kirby suggested holding the door open for the teens
Ethan held Laynes hand as he caught up, holding the door open for her as they both walked in "I'll be back" Layne said turning to Ethan
"Never say you gonna be right back, cause we all know where that end" Mindys voice echoed behind them "Care to join me then" Layne said as her smile grew
"Gladly" Mindy smiled back following her "You know i thought you were smarter Layne" Mindy said as they looked at the candy aisle "Could say the same about you"
"You know what else your not supposed to do when theres a masked killer around" Layne said quoting someone, as she turned around to face her but Mindy was already looking at her with a strange look on her face as she had seen a ghost
"Follow someone into a sketchy aisle alone" Layne teased the girl as her eyes scanned the section in front of her "Come on i thought you knew this" Layne laughed slightly under her breath "Your learning"
"Mindy come check this out" Chads voice echoed through store "They have so many slushie flavors" He yelled as Mindy made her way over to her brother leaving Layne alone in the middle of the aisle
Layne saw a shadow walk past the aisle she quickly turned her head but nothing was there, As she was about to walk away, a pair of arms latch themselves around her torso, turning Layne around. She looked up, only to see Ethan gazing down at her with his somehow beautiful brown eyes
They stared at each other in an odd way, as if it were a silent argument. Their glances battled each other, Ethans eyes filled with eagerness and Laynes with confusion. She had no idea what he was planning on doing,
Ethans eyes flickered down to her lips, and the next thing Layne knew, he had slammed his lips into her, nearly knocking all wind from her lungs
At first she was in shock, not knowing what to do. Were they just best friends? She didn't know anymore.
Ethan was kissing her Softly, a bit uncertain at first but when he feels Layne responding to him, kissing him back. He becomes more confident and the kiss deepens. His hands moved to the sides of her face and his leg was between hers
"Lain, if I'm reading this wrong please tell me now." Her top lip brushes with his bottom when he asks the question and Layne wanted to close the gap between them
she tilted her head just enough to get what she wanted, their lips move together like it was something they'd been doing for years.
she granted him access to something she was sure she would never deny of him, Layne didn't hesitate to let him deepen the kiss
"Ethan." She breathed into the kiss as his hand gripped her hip harder. The pair still didn't break apart from each other, neither wanting what was happening to ever end.
Layne never thought she and her "best friend" Ethan Landry, would in a million years, ever be in this position, most literally making out.
Layne stepped back for air "God Layne" Ethan mumbled moving his thumb up to her lip fixing the smudged lipstick "Finally" The twins clapped laughing at the end of the aisle
Layne turned to Ethan, who looked like he wanted to say something but couldn't "Please tell me you guys aren't gutted apart right now" Kirby said as she walked in
"What?" Layne looked up at him "Nothing" He responded waiting for the girl to finish grabbing what she wanted as he stood silently next to her, rethinking what had just happened between the two
