Layne and Ethan where lying down on the grass in the back of the building Chad wanted to have his eyes on the pair, Chad's suspicion for the pair only grew more
Layne was sitting down playing with the grass as he was lying down beside her with his eyes closed "Don't fall asleep on me" She leaned backwards onto the grass below her
"Im resting my eyes there's a difference Lain" He smiled as her heart fluttered at the nickname he had just given her "Does the group need us yet" She mentioned turning her head to look at him
He brought his hand up to her face pushing the hair from her face he cupped her cheek, as his eyes flickered down to her lips
She takes one of his hands from off her face Normally his hands are cold, but compared to the way Laynes are practically ice, his feel warm. She doesn't take her eyes off of his for even a second. She laughs softly, making him aware of the stupid look on his face. Ethans closes his parted lips, blinking away the dazed expression, and rolling his eyes before forcing himself to look back up at her face.
Her hand then trails up his neck to tangle her fingers in his curly hair, gripping it tightly and pulling Ethan down closer to her. He lets her, she could feel his breathing quicken as he anticipate her next move. Ethans breath tickled softly before Layne places a small kiss on the corner of his mouth. He moves his hand back up to her face again moving neither to squeeze nor to pull away
They heard a whistle as they lifted their heads looking up seeing Chad and Mindy leaning against the door waiting for them
Layne groaned in annoyance as he helped her up "Next time" She heard Ethan mumbled as she laughed "Whatever you say E" She said as he snaked his hand around her waist
"If we would have left you guys there for longer, only god knows what we would've seen" Mindy mentioned as Chad gave her a thumbs up "Do you always have to be this creepy Mindy"
"There you are" Gale said almost relieved "Honestly who goes outside alone when there's a murder" Kirby mentioned pointing at her "Surprised you guys didn't get stabbed to death out there"
Laynes phone rang, Everyone looked up at her in utter silence she reached down to her pocked pulling out her phone "Hello" She said answering the phone, Sam signaled to put it on speaker so she did
"Hello Layne" Ghost face spoke on the other line, Ethans grip on her waist tightened "What do you want" She gripped her phone tighter "I know your little secret" Her breath hitched "What?"
"Im gonna make sure everyone knows who you really are on the inside" Ghost face said laughing over the phone "Why do you think i haven't gutted you up yet" His voice got harsher "Why's that?" She questioned
"That's for me too know and everyone to find out" His voice sounded terrifying now that he was actually talking to her "Fuck you" She said as her voice cracked "Just you wait" Was the last thing ghost face said before ending the phone call
"Hey" Ethan turned to her "Your okay im right here" He wrapped her arms around her reassuring her everything's going to be okay "I was so scared" She mumbled as she brushed his fingers through her hair
"Dont worry Layne, we got you i have a gun it could do the trick" Kirby said lifting up her jacket to show it as she ket out a small chuckle "Lets go if he calls one of us later we could be able to trace the call" Detective Bailey spoke leading the group out of the building
"What did he mean" Tara came up to her "Who?" She questioned furrowing her eyebrows "Ghost face, you know about you alleged secret"
"I can't tell you Tara, i don't know how he found out i only told on person" She told the girl "Who was it" Tara looked up at her "Well she's fucking dead so"
"Quinn" Tara mumbled parting her lips before walking away to tell sam quickly. Layne gripped Ethans hand "Im not going anywhere i swear" He whispered
