THOUGH I never smiled, my usual bitch face was now replaced with something much lighter. Something happy.

By the time I finished my walk, I had arrived at Al's doorstep by exactly 7:p.m. I raised my hand, only to realize how nervous I truly was.

Knocking on the red-clad demon's door, my eyebrow scrunched in anticipation.

"Hello, my dear! Might I say, im quite surprised you showed up," he let a loud chuckle while opening the door for me to enter his home.

"Ah well- you know, I didn't have much else to do-" my poor attempt at hiding my nervousness made his grin grow even wider than I thought was humanly possible.

"There's no need to be coy, come on in!" he gestured into his massive house, which I stepped into, my mouth left agape once I saw the interior of his 'humble home' as he called it.

Once inside, something caught my eye. A massive wall filled with mounted deer heads spread out on the large flat space. "Do you hunt?" it seemed like a stupid question but I knew he would start boasting about his kills. And I need to stay on his good side.

"Why yes of course! It's one of my many hobbies!"

"Now, shall we start dinner?" his voice went from expressive to a calm sinister tone which sent shivers up my spine.
