Weeks had passed and Stevie gave up on Lindsey. This time she did not even attempt to call or text him, not that she really texted much anyway; took her about a minute to type out a word. Gary was proving to her over and over again that he was the right one for her and how much Stevie had loved Lindsey's children, she put their needs over her's; they needed their father and if this meant that she was never supposed to be with Lindsey...then she would have to take the cards that she was dealt.
The days grew harder and harder for Lindsey to face. He was back in his home and the safety of knowing his children were right down the hall from him. Things with Kristen weren't very good, she was very degrading and sarcastic if she even spoke to him. Lindsey had no idea on why she would even allow him to move back in, he figured that she loved watching him suffer; along with knowing Stevie was as well. She knew that Stevie was about to be married in a matter of days and just loved how the tour had been officially cancelled, fans disgruntled and infuriated with Lindsey's choices; he wasn't satisfied with them as well but it was the only way that he felt he'd be able to hold on to his family. He only had so many days left to figure out what he'd do about his future with Stevie and he had to make his mind up quick.

Stevie's bridal party was tonight, she was to be married in two days. TWO DAYS. Two days and still nothing from Lindsey. Her heart was officially broken on the fact that he has let her slip out of his life completely. How stupid she had been to actually think that he would come back in to her life.
Her party had all her close girlfriends, from Lori Nicks to Sheryl Crow — it was a group of friends that were always there for each other no matter what. The fact that Stevie looked so upset brought much concern to her friends, they tried their hardest to get out whatever it was that was bothering her and once she had a few drinks...it all came flying out.
"Wait, you have been sleeping with Lindsey while engaged to Gary?" Sharon looked towards Stevie, in shock.
Stevie's head nodded as she threw back the rest of her Vodka Tonic.
All the ladies looked at each other and then back at Stevie as she began to speak again, "He has been so jealous. He was fighting for me. He stopped fighting," she cried.
Quickly, all her friends got closer to her so they could console her; Stevie could never forgive Lindsey for what he'd done. Once again he had lured her in and left her there to drown, deeply in love and a complete wreck.
As Stevie continued to drink she finally loosened up and started to enjoy herself, everything that has been going on for months finally forgotten as she sang and danced with her friends. They did shot after shot, played games, and brought up old stories. This party began to actually LOOK like a party.

As Lindsey sat in his studio, he heard a small knock on the door; who would be knocking? It was a rule that no one was to bother him while he was in this room.
He opened the door harshly to see his son, Will, standing there.
"Hey kid, what's going on?" Lindsey asked, a tad disturbed but concerned all at once.
"Dad, can I talk to you?" Will began, "It's about..."
"About?" Lindsey tried to coax the rest of his sentence out of him.
"Stevie."
Lindsey looked shocked, "Stevie? Why would you want to talk to me about, Stevie?"
"Just hear me out, okay?" Will pushed his way through the door and closed it, sitting down on the couch, "I know you love her."
