Hailey pretty much grew up with the boys, she was with them every weekend and she would see them almost everyday. She met the boys in gr. 3. she was always shy as a kid so she didn't try to make new friends. As a kid she was really close with Nick since he usually would exclude himself from the other kids including his brothers.
Eventually she starts to like one of them. She feels crazy since she's been best friends with them forever. Hailey eventually tells Nick about her crush and he goes out of his way to make them closer.
The boys also knew all about her home life so they would always invite her over and make sure she was ok and she wasn't hurt. Sometimes she would come to one of them crying because she couldn't handle her parents fighting and drinking addictions. Once she went to them because her dad tried hurting her, ever since she stayed distant from her parents.
Hailey loves hanging out with the boys, when she's with them she forgets her other problems but she is scared her little crush will come between their friendship.
