Narnia's night sky. Lucy watches with her hands behind her head.

“Lucy, you awake?” Susan whispered. Lucy hummed in reply.

”Why do you think I couldn’t see Aslan?” Susan asks as she sits up. Lucy sits up as well, “You believe me?” She asked.

“Well, we got across the gorge,” Susan stated.

“I don’t know. Maybe you didn’t really want to,” Lucy replies. Little did they know Trumpkin and Gwendolyn were listening to the conversation .

“You always knew we’d be coming back here, didn’t you?” Susan asked.

“I hoped so,” Lucy replies.

“I finally just got used to the idea of living in England.

“But you’re happy to be here, aren’t you?”

“While it lasts.”

They go to sleep. At dawn, Lucy hears a growl and wakes up. Gwendolyn notices this of course. Ever since their first trip to Narnia, Gwendolyn hasn’t slept but for at least two hours a night. Anyone would notice this, she was very pale and had dark bags under her eyes. The sound of the soft wind lulled her to sleep. A twig snaps.
