Bonnie (or Jeremy) knew that his father had worked as a Security Guard at the Originals' pizzeria. His father knew all of the Pizzeria's dark secrets, including the Gumdrop Nose and the Lonely Freddy's. Because of that, he guessed that his father would know what to do. If he could get to him first, the others would know not to jumpscare him.
