(Tony's POV)

When I got home, I walked past the kitchen to see my mom sitting at the counter.

Tony- Hey mum!

I walked over and hugged her.

Mom- Where were you?

Tony- I went over to watch Annie with Layla.

Mom- Annie is Layla's niece right?

Tony- Yea. She is so cute! She actually really likes me!

Mom- Oh that's nice! How was Layla?

Tony- Good.

I wasn't going to tell her about... well you know... the "thing" her dad walked in on us almost doing.

Tony- Okay. I gotta go pack!

Mom- Do you have a new mission?

Tony- Yea.

Mom- Where is it?

Tony- I have no idea. We leave at 7 am tomorrow morning.

Mom- Okay. Just let me know if you need anything.

Tony- Okay I will. Night mum.

Mom- Night honey.

I walked back to my bedroom and grabbed my backpack. I started shoving some things in. Mostly random stuff I might not even end up needing on our mission. I threw my bag across the room near the door. I set an alarm for 6 in the morning to make sure I get to The Toretto Garage in time. My phone started ringing and it was Layla. I flopped down on my bed and answered the call.

FaceTime

Tony- Hey, what's up?

Layla- Nothin. I just wanted to check on you.

Tony- Okay.

Layla- Hey have you heard from the rest of the crew recently?

Tony- I talked to Cisco a little bit ago. And Echo called me this morning.

Layla- Okay. I was just curious. They seemed a little distant. I'm sure we will all catch up on the mission.

Tony- Yea. I still have no idea where we're going.

Layla- That's really weird!

Tony- Yea. Well, we will figure it out tomorrow.

Layla- I guess so. Umm... are you packed?

Tony- Yup. You?

Layla- Yea. Hey... are we gonna talk about what happened today?

Tony- You mean with your dad walking in on us?

Layla- Yea. Are we just gonna pretend it didn't happen? Cause I don't really want to forget about it.

Tony- Well... It all depends on if your dad is not gonna hate me forever now.

Layla- Hey. I'm an adult and this is my house. I can do whatever I want. He doesn't have any control over me anymore. Or you.

Tony- Okay. So... is stuff like that gonna happen more often when I move in?

Layla- I hope so!

Tony- Now that makes me want to move in even sooner!

Layla laughed. The way her face lit up made me smile.

Layla- Hey Toretto. I got a question.

Tony- Yea what's up?

Layla- Can we get a dog?

Tony- Layla, maybe we should wait till I move in and we aren't about to go on a mission.

Layla- Let's get a dog!

Tony- Oh okay...

Layla- What!? You don't want a dog!?

Tony- Of course, I want to get a dog. I just think we should wait a few months to get everything under control!

Layla- Months!?

Tony- Okay not months, but we should wait a little bit.

Layla- Fine. As long as we end up gettin a dog.

Tony- We can get a dog. Okay?

Layla- Okay!

Tony- I'm gonna go to bed. We gotta get up early in the morning.

Layla- Alright. Night Toretto!

Tony- Night baby.

Layla- Aww I like it when you call me baby.

Tony- Alright. I guess that's what I'll call you from now on.

Layla- Okay. I'll keep calling you Toretto. If that's what you want me to call you.

Tony- It would be kinda weird if you started calling me something different!

Layla- Alright. Toretto it is. I love you!

Tony- Love you too, Baby!

We hung up the phone and I got under the covers and fell asleep. I needed to get as much rest as possible before our mission. Which I still have no idea what it is about or where it is.
