As Ezra started growing up on his adopted mother's ship the ghost he had found out that the vents were the best place to travel around to get to places quickly and also best place to hide too.
A year later a 5yr old Ezra was hiding in the vent like his mother asked him to since they were doing a smuggling job and it's safer for him to hide so he doesn't get kidnapped by the smuggler they were transporting to a different planet but every now and then Ezra would crawl over to Sabine's room and talk to her through the vent since Sabine made it clear that Ezra couldn't enter as he had ruined 3 paintings once.
Other than bugging Sabine Ezra would try to find kanan so he can ask about the force only kanan knew where Ezra was and purposely would leave to be with Hera and the smuggler in the cockpit the one room on the ghost Ezra was banned from when they have questionable guests on the ghost so he would move to find Zeb as help him clean his bo rifle
