It's been two weeks since i got into the Royal pack and each day i spent in the hospital next to Tan. The only moment i left was when i had to use the bathroom or the doctor had to examine him. I haven't met his family yet, i was told that the hospital was on lock down because he was of high rank warrior and his mission was top secret. I didn't care, i saw him and that was enough for me.After taking a shower and putting on some clothes that Alessia, Jasper's mate was happy to share, i sat on my usual stop, holding his hand and hoping that he wakes up soon. I missed him and at the same time was mad at him. I don't know when but i fell asleep in the process.Sparks, they felt familiar, i pulled myself closer to them wanting to feel more. "You shouldn't have come here Cute face", his voice, i just dreamt of his voice, i opened my eyes hoping that it was not a dream and there he was, bright blue eyes and everything. Amazing! and then i remembered that i was mad at him. "You didn't come back, i waited for you", i said with tears in my eyes but instead of answering his face turned serious and eyes directed to the door where Jasper and the Intimidating guy entered he must have heard them approaching. "You broke our agreement, you brought her here, why?", he shouted but the Intimidating guy didn't seem fazed. "Jasper did it", he lifted his hands in surrender while Jasper seemed less confident. "Why did you do it?", "I wasn't going to let you die man! am sorry but i had to". That is when it hit me. "Tan, were you planning on standing by that even if it killed you?", i was furious at this point making him turn to me and his eyes were suddenly filled with guilt, he tried opening his mouth but nothing came out. Thoughts of not seeing him again creeped their way in my head and then i started having trouble breathing. He tried touching me but i pulled away. They were telling me things but i couldn't understand, suddenly i was grabbed from behind and taken to a balcony that was right outside the room. "Count with me", the voice said and i started to count reminding me of when i used to do it with Tan. "There you go, feeling better?", i replied with a nod and when i turned i was surprised to see the green eyes that i had been avoiding for a while. "T-thank you...","Roman. That's my name", my eyes went wide as a saucer, he was the Alpha King. How could i be so dumb, of course it was him. He chuckled. "I take it that he told you about me", he smiled down at me. I couldn't alter a word again so i ended up nodding my head again.The doctors came and removed the tubes from Tan, i was still giving him a silent treatment, how dare he. We made a promise to each other and he was about to break it for what? The door bursted open and a very beautiful toned woman walked in, she was a true definition of beauty. "My love, they wouldn't let us in, we were so worried about you, your Mother was causing a ruckus and that is the only way they allowed us to enter", did she just? my Tan? before i could master the strength to stand, his family entered, they were all built like houses even the women, a little bit on the short side but man they looked intimidating. My eyes met a panting Jasper, when our eyes met i knew, it had nothing to do with my protection or him being a high rank warrior, i was the side chick?! Tears started falling and i wanted to move but i couldn't. "L-Lola please", he called to me and my eyes turned to meet the man i had devoted my life, heart and soul to, just then Roman entered the room with another woman, she had the same aura as his so i guessed she was the Luna Queen. There it was again the same look i got from Jasper. I wiped my tears away, held my head high as i went to the chair that had my duffle bag. "Who are you?", the older woman asked with eyes full of curiosity. I swallowed hard and answered, "Nobody". I walked towards Jasper who couldn't meet my eyes at this moment. "Please take me home", "Lola p-", "Please", i begged between sobs."Lola, It's not what you think. Being Tan is complicated", "Jasper, i know he is your friend but you don't have to. I will be ok". We reached our apartment and i ended up just sleeping on the floor, everything smelled like him and it made me super angry. He used me, was i even his mate or just the mistress? but the sparks, only a mate could feel the sparks, what was happening? I needed to get away. I needed space, i called the only one person who could be willing to hold on to my secret and the only one who would understand how i felt."Thank you for coming", "Of course, how is Tan?". "Alex, i don't want to talk about him, if that's ok with you", he took a deep breath and nod his head. I told him what happened making sure i left the werewolf part out. And that was all it took for me to get all that i wanted, a plane ticket and an apartment for a month. That was going to be enough for me. That is what i needed to regain my peace. "You will be sharing the apartment with my step brother Boris, don't worry he is rarely around and he is weird like you but i trust him with my life", "That's ok with me, at least i wont be alone", i gave him a fake smile, he pulled me into a hug. "I hope this brings you the answers you are looking for, i still think you should talk to him", "I know". I replied and walked inside the airport with my head down.
