Nineteen

We were standing in an open field, it was green and beautiful, if only i was in a time where this was me and Tan on a picnic. It would have been the best setting, unfortunately here i am about to be sacrificed for power and a fake mate bond.I could barely keep my eyes open due to the swelling. When Volder released his hold on me, i fell to my knees, it hurt like a bitch but i decided that it was better than having Vampire claws digging in my arm. "I was starting to think you wouldn't show", i looked up and saw Tan, Roman and Jasper, they came. 

"Lola!", Tan called my name and it felt good hearing his voice again. "There, there now...which one of you is Stealth?", they all remained quiet, "He is", Andra said and the shock on Roman and Jasper was priceless. Tan just breathed in and out fast, he was pissed and his eyes were gold, meaning it was Hunter. "Andra, you know what this means right?", Roman asked his eyes turning gold too, "Oh i know, am getting what i deserve, since you decided that i was not worth it", she answered confidently. 

Roman turned to Volder, "what the fuck do you want?", "It's simple really, I want what everyone wants, power, i want Varick dead, i want to control the vampire race, i can't kill an Alpha but Stealth can", his eyes landed on Tan. "Who would have thought that he was right infront of us the whole time. I was beginning to wonder how a peasant can be that close to a King without any significance. Very clever Roman", he said smiling. 

He pulled my hair making me scream in pain, "This is what is going to happen, Stealth is going to kill Varick bring me his head and in return i will give you your mate back, deal?". "Let her go", Hunter said taking a step closer. Volder took out a knife and placed it on my throat. "I would trade carefully if i were you", he said and whistled. Guards came from the trees surrounding us. I saw him do a quick count and then looked at Jasper then Roman who nod his head at him. "Andra, this is your last chance, do you pledge your allegiance to the crown and the Royal guard?", Roman asked calmly. "Depends, will you give me my mate? you know he is mine", she said sharpening her claws. When Roman didn't answer, she dug her nail deep in my shoulder making me scream in pain. "Stealth you know i can kill her right now and you can't stop me", she said digging deeper. I felt tears run down my cheeks, i screamed as loud as i could, hoping i will feel better. "Stop! I will do whatever you want", Tan said his voice so desperate, his eyes returning to bright blue colour, it hurt me to see him so vulnerable. "I have sworn an oath to the King, i can not do anything as Stealth until he commands me to", he said in defeat, that sneaky bastard, huh! who would have thought that his acting could be this good. "Roman, you know what i want, do it or she dies", i felt the knife pierce through my skin, blood soaking my shirt. "Stop it, I'll do it just stop, your hurting her, she is human she can not heal, just stop!", Roman shouted making Volder remove the knife, Andra also pulled back and smiled. "I summon forward warrior Stealth to possess the Vampire Beta and eliminate his alpha, he is a threat to the Crown", Roman said and Tan's eyes went foggy, he went down on his knees and remained silent as if he was nothing but a statue. 

I was confused at this point because i knew that it was all an act. 'Cute face, relax, let me take over, let me heal you', i felt myself start to float, allowing my body to move at his will. It was so fast that it made me feel dizzy. My hands took a knife from Volder's hand and slashed his throat, i watched as Andra tried to run but Roman knocked her out turning to the guards who started attacking. I moved swiftly in between them slicing only their necks and on a specific angle that made them fall instantly. It was like a blur, it happened so fast, suddenly i was in control again. My stomach gave up and i started vomiting blood and then welcomed the dark and fell on the grass.

"Doctor, did i do this to her?", "No Stealth, it was because of the adrenaline and lack of food. She has not eaten for a week, to use such energy abruptly was bound to cause side effects, the fluids will help her don't worry", "Don't worry? she has been in a coma for a month!", he shouted and something crashed on the wall, i tried to open my eyes but i couldn't, i tried moving my lips but nothing happened. I wanted to tell him that i was ok but i couldn't move. "Tan, control yourself, go out and take a chill", Roman commanded, then a door was shut. "He is just worried Roman", Janet told him, he released a breath. "I know Sweetie. I would have been in the same situation. Come back to us Lola", he said and i felt him squeeze my hand.

"Cute face, i love you, i can't do this without you please come back baby", i heard his voice and tried to respond again but i couldn't. The door was opened. "Hi Tan, how is she today?", Alessia asked her voice full of sadness. "Still the same, but colour is returning to her i hope that is a good thing", he said. I felt sparks at my forehead, it made me feel alive and i wanted to reach out to him but i still felt trapped. When the door was shut, i took a breath and tried to move a finger and it moved, i thanked the goddess. I tried moving my toes and they moved. I was going to try harder for my mate. Tan, baby am going to try harder for you. At that moment i felt a tear running down from my eye.
