Val POV
Marshall sleeping over at my place wasn't weird or awkward at all. He made breakfast of scrambled eggs, toast and jelly, and some strawberries I had in the fridge while I was in the shower. The girls were excited that they got to see Marshall before they went to school. They were super surprised that he was here.
"Good morning, Princess."
"Marshall!" Cassaundra ran to him in her jammies with sleepy eyes.
He picked her up to cuddle her and kiss her head. I had seen him pick Bella up all the time because she was so little, but I'd never seen him hold Cassaundra in his arms like that. I had tears in my eyes watching them together.
"I got good news." He kissed her cheek. "After school you're coming over to my house. You're going to sleep there tonight before leaving for your trip tomorrow."
"Yay!"
We ate our breakfast together as a family, then finished getting ready for the day. We disbursed together with Marshall packing us into my Subaru and kissing us goodbye before getting in his Escalade to go to the studio for the day.

After work and school, I brought the girls home for a little to pile our suitcases in my car and look around my apartment before closing the door. Hailie would be checking in every other day to get my mail and water my plants while we were in Florida. I was going to give the spare key to her over at Marshall's later that night.
We still had some time to kill, so I had the awesome idea of making a nice homemade meal tonight. I took the girls grocery shopping and sat them in the little fire engine cart together.
"What should mommy make for dinner?" I asked.
Without missing a beat, Cassaundra said, "Your fried chicken."
When she said that, I went a little overboard. I bought the chicken, vegetables, the ingredients to make cornbread, and the things for macaroni and cheese. I wanted to impress my Marshall.
Hailie texted me and told me to come over a while. Marshall wasn't home yet but she was there to let us in. My daughters sat in the living room playing with the dollhouse that was now in Marshall's living room and Hailie kept me company while I was cooking. I had just started when Marshall walked through the door and both my daughters and Hailie greeted him with hugs.
"Hey honey." He kissed Hailie's head.
"Hey Belly." He tickled Bella and she laughed.
"There's my Princess." He kissed my other daughter's cheek.
They went back in the living room to playing dollhouse and Hailie sat on a stool at the island.
"Hey baby." Marshall walked over to take me in his arms and kiss me. "I missed you. I was thinking about you all day."
"Me too." I said quietly and noticed Hailie watching us.
"Watchu cooking?"
"Fried chicken."
"Need any help?" Marshall kicked off his shoes and removed his cap, making himself more relaxed for the evening.
"Sure. You can throw that in the oven." I motioned toward the cornbread as I continued chopping up broccoli. "And then, how do you feel about getting your fingers dirty?"
"Why do I get the messy job?"
Marshall made me giggle, "I have to mash the potatoes."
He kept staring at me, then looked away and laughed while shaking his head.
"You mash those potatoes baby. I know how to make chicken." He kissed my cheek and smacked my ass hard.
Hailie looked up from her phone and laughed, "Anything I can do?"
"Sure. If you want to finish chopping this, I can start the potatoes awhile."
We had a beautiful, delicious dinner that night before I left that the three of us prepared together. There was something special about that to me. And now Marshall would have leftovers to snack on throughout the week and be reminded of me.
After dinner, we played two games of Candyland with Cassaundra before bedtime while Bella played with her toys and waddled around the room. Hailie helped to tuck them in, told them she would see them in a week, and gave each a hug. Then she told me goodbye and that she would take care of her dad while I was gone.
The home was now silent, and Marshall and I decided to go straight to bed to say goodbye to each other properly. I was secretly so nervous about what this next week holds, but I didn't think about that. I only thought of being in Marshall's arms while he took his time loving on me.
Marshall POV
Valentina and I did it twice that night, and once in the morning. That part of our relationship had changed so much. Before, Val was so timid and scared. Now, I make her cum over and over again and hold her so close against me and see her smile. Truly smile. Where the corners of her eyes squint and her lips are wide. I love this girl so much. I haven't felt this way in...maybe ever. A little bit with Kim here and there, but that was just young, sick love. Me and Valentina are for real. I'm gonna miss the fuck out of her!
Later that day, I drove Valentina and her daughters to the airport for our tearful goodbye. I gave little Bella a kiss, then leaned over to hug Cassaundra.
"Have fun Princess." I didn't realize how much I was going to miss them too.
Then came time for Val and my final goodbye. I was trying so hard not to break down in front of her, but the tears flowed when I saw her start crying. I hugged her and swayed with her in my arms.
I spoke in her ear just between us, "I love you baby. Don't forget how much I love you."
~~
I went home and sulked for the rest of the night.
My daughters came over the next day as expected, and we watched a movie and ordered pizza, but it felt like something was missing.
"It's so quiet here without them." Laney had to remind me. "I miss them."
"Me too." I said quietly.
Hailie piped in, "Do you and Val talk about your future?"
"Sure." I answered her then took a bite of pizza. "What do you mean exactly?"
"Well, just watching the two of you the other night. You're both so giggly and happy. You seem like you're really in love."
I nodded at my daughter. There were no secrets between us. And she's a grown woman now. She understands.
"I love her with everything I have Hailie. I'll never deny that. And I love Cassaundra and Bella too."
My girls all seem shocked and overjoyed to hear me say such things. I've never been in this kind of relationship before, and they knew it. I think they were almost as excited as I was about Valentina. They really like her, which is awesome.
Hailie stopped smiling and had a thought, "So, does Val ever want to get married again?"
