Mysterious Nightmare (Beomgyu)

I woke suddenly from a vivid nightmare, sputtering and coughing if I had been drowning in something. I wiped the beads of sweat from my forehead, nervously running a trembling hand though my cinnamon colored locks. I clearly remember the nightmare; trying to escape as something dark and shadowy chased me, stumbling backwards into a shallow, empty grave and feeling something heavy pilling on my chest, making it harder and harder to breathe.

I felt tears fall down my cheeks and quickly wiped them away. What was that nightmare? Should I tell someone about it or am i just being irrational and paranoid?  I thought to myself, taking long, deep breaths in an attempt to calm my rapid heartbeat.

"Would Yeonjun possibly know something to what this means..?" I whispered to myself, chewing my thumbnail. I grabbed my phone from the nightstand, unlocking it and opening my notes. The bright glow of the screen lit up my dark room, temporarily blinding me for a minute or so. I moved my fingers across the keyboard, typing the words "Mysterious Nightmare". After, I described what had happened, not leaving out a single detail.

I also included my thoughts on what this could mean at the bottom, things such as: "Was this a warning?" "Could this possibly be describing my fate on how I die?" and so on. I turned off the screen, placing it back in it's original spot on my nightstand. I threw back my covers, placing my feet on the ground. I stood up, heading out of my room and crossing the hall to the bathroom.

I shut the door behind me, flicking on the light. My reflection in the mirror showed a young man who had just turned 21 a few weeks ago who had short, cinnamon brown hair, brown catlike eyes, a strong jawline and soft red lips. I yawned, closing my eyes and stretching my arms in the air. When I opened my eyes again, I gasped and clasped a hand over my mouth to prevent myself from screaming.

My reflection now showed a darker looking version of myself, dressed in all black leather, dark brown hair and eyes with bloodstains on my hands, mimicking my stance. Tears spilt from my eyes uncontrollably, my whole body filled with panic. I fell to the floor, trembling as my eyes continued spilling tears. This isn't real, wake up! Wake up now!!  I thought over and over, trying to give myself a false sense of security. Although, nothing that I did seemed to make me feel any better, in fact it did the complete opposite.

"Beomgyu?? Why.. why are you sleeping on the bathroom floor?" I heard a voice ask. My eyes shot open and I looked up at who had asked the question. Kai was standing there, looking down at me with utter confusion. "Kai?! Oh god, what time is it??" I asked in a hurry, standing up and immediately looking at my reflection in the mirror. "It's 9:30 in the morning.. jeez you look awful! How late were you up?!" Kai asked me, a look of concern on his face as he gazed at our reflections in the mirror.

"I... uhh..." I hesitated, unsure if I should tell him what happened last night. "I guess I was sleepwalking or something.. I don't remember how I got in here." I lied, not meeting his gaze. He placed a hand on my shoulder, rubbing it comfortingly. "Hyung, if you need to tell me something, just tell me. I won't judge." He spoke in a soft, understanding voice. I softly shook my head. "It's nothing Kai. I just couldn't sleep well last night, everybody has those kinds of nights. I'm okay, I promise." I lied again, not wanting him to be concerned about me.

He hesitated before he spoke again. "Well... alright, if you say so.. hey, let's go see if Soobin-hyung made some breakfast, yeah?" He asked, his concerned look being replaced with a playful smile. I gave him a forced smile and nodded. He ran out of the room, shouting for me to follow him. I glanced at my reflection once again, confused. "What... was that?" I muttered to myself, before dashing after Kai.
