as hyejin quickly put the groceries away and prepared the tea, youngmin took the time to look around her small yet cozy apartment. the walls were adorned with a few picture frames of what seemed to be hyejin and her friends, though as youngmin started to walk closer to get a better look he noticed a light coming from the hallway. turning his attention towards said light he noticed that one of the doors was left cracked open, allowing the light from the window in the room to shine through. blinking a few times he noticed four other doors but before he could inspect more he was called back to the kitchen by hyejin.

"romin the tea's ready! oh i also set out some cookies if you'd like"

nodding he made his way back, sitting down across from hyejin he took a hesitant sip of the tea unsure if it would burn him or not. after not getting burnt he happily drank more.

"this is great, thanks dawn"

"i'm glad you like it, i wasn't sure what type of tea you liked so i just made my favorite" looking down at her glass hyejin smiled softly before turning her attention back to youngmin "my friend always thought it was too sweet"
shaking his head, youngmin voiced his disagreement "well i disagree, i think the tea is perfect"

'like you'

blushing slightly at his unspoken thought, youngmin decided to change the subject.

"i don't mean to pry but i couldn't help but notice how many rooms are in this apartment. do you perhaps live with someone?" as anxious as youngmin was to hear the answer, he made sure to keep his voice steady. he really only meant it as an innocent question but the thought of hyejin living with a guy or even worse a boyfriend made his stomach churn in discomfort.

"oh yeah" pausing to take a sip of her tea hyejin continued "i live with my sister and friend but they're currently in japan right now" nodding to herself she continued once again though this time unintentionally cutting youngmin off before he could ask another question "you probably already saw them but they're the girls in the pictures over there" she explained as she pointed towards the livingroom. youngmin couldn't help but let out a relived sigh only to quickly cover it by taking another sip of his tea.

"i saw that you and hyuk bought a lot of toothpaste, do you have roommates?" hyejin's question broke through the forming silence before it could get awkward and took a sip of her tea. nodding youngmin let out a soft hum "yeah i live in a dorm with the other trainees....." trailing off he looked away before continuing "it can get annoying though, especially since hyuk always complains about being single"

smiling hyejin placed her glass back down "really? my friend, seolhyun, she's like that as well though i have to say" shifting her gaze from her glass she looked to youngmin "i'm suprised hyuk is single"

"huh? why?" narrowing his eyes slightly, youngmin couldn't help but grow suspicious.

"well i didn't wanna say this but hyuk is quite the attractive guy, i would've thought had plenty of girls and even guys fawning after him" nodding as if agreeing with her own words hyejin closed her eyes as she imagined people chasing after hyuk.
frowning, youngmin glared down at his cup about to point out his friends flaws only to stop as hyejin continued. opening her eyes she looked to youngmin thoughtfully "actually you too, if your still single i'd be more suprised" not really thinking about what she was saying hyejin let some of her feelings slip "i mean you're way more attractive than hyuk"

youngmin's whole being seemed to malfunction as his face turned a bright shade of read. his thoughts were going crazy in his head and he could barely pick up on them, blinking a few times he observed hyejin expecting her to still be calm but what he saw made his heart skip a beat. hyejin, who seemed to realize what she had just said, was blushing as she quickly looked away from youngmin.

"oh uhm i forgot! cookies! i set out cookies!" quickly changing the subject, hyejin grabbed a cookie and bit into it not realizing that the crumbs were getting everywhere as she was still too flustered to think properly.

for the second time that day, youngmin moved without thinking, reaching over he wiped some crumbs off of hyejin's lips causing her to stop and look up at him as he leaned over the table.

her lips were soft

before either of them realized what was happening, youngmin had already placed his lips on hyejin's in a delicate kiss. the kiss barely lasted a second but for both of them it felt like time was slowed. until it wasn't. snapping out of his trance youngmin quickly pulled away as he realized what he had just done. dread filled him as he looked at the stunned hyejin. he messed up. he messed up big time. he didn't even mean to do that but seeing hyejin so flustered. so cute. he couldn't help himself. bowing youngmin quickly apologized before running out the door. he was a coward. he couldn't stay. not when he knew hyejin would be disgusted in him. they had just met for crying out loud! he barely found out how old she was! he didn't even know her favorite food! or color!

shaking his head of such thoughts, youngmin ran back to the dorms not stopping until he was back in his shared room with wonhyuk. dropping to his knees he struggled to catch his breath as wonhyuk looked at him from the desk he was currently seated at. he waited until youngmin was breathing normally to ask what was wrong though.

"i messed up hyuk. i messed up big time"

confused and slightly concerned, wonhyuk got out of his chair and made his way over to youngmin, who was still on the floor in front of the -luckily closed- door.

"what do you mean? did something happen with hyejin?" frowning he wracked his brain for anything that could've happend. he didn't really know hyejin but from what he saw she seemed like a nice person, glancing back at his distraught friend he frowned. well he supposed looks could be decieving.

"i-" pausing youngmin gulped as if afraid to continue his sentence. wonhyuk waited patiently for youngmin to continue knowing better than to rush his friend. "i kissed her hyuk..... i kissed her! i don't know what came over me! one moment we were talking and the next thing i know i'm kissing her!" youngmin's voice grew louder as his eyes started to water, his breathing seemed to pick up as well as he continued talking "she must hate me now! i took advantage of her! i'm a horrible person, she's never gonna wanna see me again"

wonhyuk watched youngmin break down in shock. this was the first time he's ever seen his friend get so worked up over anything, he wasn't the crying type. softly pulling youngmin into a hug, he tried his best to reassure and calm him down less he work himself into a panic attack.

"hey romin-" pausing he took a deep breath "youngmin it's gonna be okay don't worry, i'm sure she doesn't hate you-" pausing once again he looked down at youngmin, who was still crying but started to calm down enough to breath normally -well as normally as you could while crying. "she didn't say she hated you did she?" at the shake of youngmin's head, wonhyuk continued "see she doesn't hate you. that's just your head messing with you" pulling away, wonhyuk helped wipe his tears away "but you should still apologize to her, even if she doesn't hate you for it" helping youngmin stand up, he patted his back comfortingly "you still shouldn't go kissing people out of no where though"

youngmin stared at wonhyuk for a moment before nodding in thanks. faceplanting onto his bed, he curled up into the covers as best he could. he knew what wonhyuk said was most likely true but he still couldn't shake that small fear. the fear that she'd never want to see him again. too lost in thought, youngmin barely caught what wonhyuk said before he heard the door shut.

"- go to the mall and get her an apology gift"
