seedstorm

I am a seed
and the quiet lust to live
organically emerges through me
my sepia green eyes sitting silent
watching leaves fall and twirl
birds chipping outside the window

I've fancied cocoon boxes
to listen to songs no one has ever sung
reading under the shade of clouds
oh, bask me in the morning sun
tuck me in a bubblewrap of light
for the world is brighter than the sun

and I want to pop-push-pierce
through dirt, gravel, and shadow
in panoramic slow motion
I want to be suffocated with rain
although I my fingers are dead-frozen
feed me with overwhelming light

I know I am just a seed
but I want to make Mother Earth green
I am restless under a blanket of soft clouds
I am still hunting for beauty and wonder
I sleepwalk through Nowhere and I listen
to the twinkle of the night stars
