Today is my wedding day. I wake up and look over at Kayden and smile.
He wakes up right after me and kisses my lips. "Before it gets crazy in here I got you a present."
"You did? That's sweet of you Kayden."
I watched him get a box out of his drawer and walk over setting on the side of the bed.
"I got this for you yesterday with moms help I hope you like it."
I opened the box and the angel staring back at me was gorgeous. "Oh, Kayden it's so beautiful."
"I got this angel in the representation of your Grandma Alice, Diane, Grandpa Davis, and your Aunt Julia. I thought maybe you could wear it pinned inside your dress."
I didn't know what to say and I couldn't see through my tears.
He wrapped his arms around me and hugged me tightly.
"Thank you so much, Kayden this means the world to me."
"I know you wish they all could be here and I know they can't but they are here in spirit."
I pull him in for a kiss and before we could take it any further Tripp cried out.
"I will get him and then I'm going up to the beach house and get ready."
"Ok, I am going to go get a shower. My mom and everyone should be here soon and I'm sure Tripp will be looked after."
He kisses me again. "I will see you on the beach."
I couldn't help but smile watching him walk away before I went and got in the shower. By the time I got out, I slipped on my robe and went into the bedroom and it was full of people and Kay had Tripp in her arms.
"We are here to help you get ready Bride!" Alissa smiled.
"Well, I am ready. Can someone make sure that they pin this angel in my dress for me?"
"Oh wow, that's beautiful where did you get it?" Grandma Avah asked.
"Kayden bought it for me. It's for our loved ones who can't be at the wedding. Grandpa Davis, Grandma Alice, Diane and Aunt Julia." I smiled.
"That is the sweetest thing."
"I helped him pick it out but really I went for moral support because as soon as he saw it he picked it without my help but I would have chosen that one as well." Pria smiled.
Alissa curled my hair and put on my makeup before mom and Pria helped me into my dress. I had to look at myself a couple of times in the mirror because I felt beautiful.
"Oh, honey you are quite a beauty." Aunt Remi smiled.
"Are you ready to go downstairs and meet your dad?" Mom asked.
"Yeah, I am ready. Thanks to whoever dressed Tripp he is a cutie."
As I begin to walk downstairs dad looked up and I could see him wiping the tears from his eyes.
"Making your old man cry?"
I couldn't help but giggle. I feel like a princess and it makes me think back to all of the tea parties with dad and Uncle Cam.
I take his arm and we walk out on the deck and I can see the wedding party all in their seats and Kayden standing at the alter.
I couldn't get to him fast enough and as I started up the aisle I saw Uncle Cam and he was wiping his eyes too.
Dad put my hand into Kayden's and he squeezed it. "You look amazing Tiger."
"You look great dressed up." I smiled.
The preacher begin to recite love is patient love is kind and when he got done it was our turn for our vows.
"Kayden... I will always be by your side through all of our life's mountains and valleys with a loyalty that will never be broken.
But most of all I promise to love you madly, deeply, unconditionally, and with all of my heart until my very last breath. I love you."
"I love you too Tiger."
"Kayden you may now profess your love to Julia."
"Julia Alice Holgate Cresswell... I will always kiss you goodnight. I will continue to set on the deck with you holding your hand. I will give you daily compliments and always take a moment to ask how you are.
I will talk to you during dinner even if a game is on and I will write you mushy love letters on our anniversaries.
I will never go to bed angry at you because let's face it who can be mad at that face.
I will always hold your hand and I will love you as if it is our very last day together. I love you."
"You may now place the rings on each other's fingers."
Alissa handed me the ring as did Jacob to Kayden.
We slipped the rings on each other and kissed each other's rings.
"I now pronounce you husband and wife! You may kiss your bride Kayden."
"I have been waiting all day for this Mrs. Cresswell." He pressed his lips to mine and tipped me back.
Everyone was standing up and clapping for us and Dane handed Tripp to Kayden and we walked up the sand together over to the reception.
It was Saturday and our weekly dinner just become bigger.
The Chief walked over and hugged me. "You look beautiful Julia."
"Thanks, Chief! I am so glad you made it." I smiled.
Before I could make it over to my seat Uncle Cam walked out and wrapped his arm around me.
"I have never seen such a beautiful bride. Don't tell your Aunt Sierrah that."
"I love you Uncle Cam and as soon as I saw myself in the mirror it reminded me of all the tea parties we used to have together."
"Those were some of the best days of my life Julia." He smiled.
"Mine too Uncle Am." I smiled kissing his cheek before walking over and sitting down beside Kayden.
