💛Tapu Koko x Fem! reader

A/n: I wanted to make another Tapu Koko oneshot. Not a request.

Y/n's POV

Ash has completed his grand trial against Hala, and got a electric type Z crystal. Professor Kukui said he's going to chat with Hala for a little then, catch up with us. I saw Ash, looking at his new Z crystal in his palm.

"I got to admit, that was an amazing battle." I praised Ash. He smiled at me, Pikachu also smiling.

"Yes, it was amazing!" Rotomdex agreed.

"Thanks! But, Pikachu deserves the credit." Ash said, looking at his Pikachu. I smiled, petting Pikachus head, making it cry happily.

"I wonder how your Z crystal changed into the one you have now." I wondered outloud. Rotom and Ash started to think about it. 

"No idea!" He exclaimed. Me, Pikachu and Rotomdex sweat dropped. Suddenly, we all heard a familiar cry.

"WHOA! Tapu Koko!" Ash exclaimed behind me. I rose an eyebrow. I turned around, meeting face to face with Mele Mele island guardian, my eyes widened. It tilted its head curiously, while flying around me. It stopped floating around me, then it looked at us, and floated to a different direction.

"I think it wants us to follow it." I say, Ash and Rotom already following Tapu Koko. I immediately ran to catch up with Ash and Rotom, but they stopped. I looked at the same direction as Ash, seeing Tapu Koko looking at us.

"I think it wants to battle you, Ash." I said. Ash looked at me, so did Pikachu and Rotom. Tapu Koko flew towards me, our faces inches away. I could feel my stomach, slowly, turning into knots. Tapu Koko pointed at me, then flew back to were it was before.

"I think it wants to battle you." Rotom says, looking at me. My eyes widened. Battle me? Why? I'm not even good at battling. I shook my head no, taking two steps back.

"I can't. I don't want to." I admitted, holding both my arms. I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked at my left, Ash gave me a smile. Pikachu claimed on my shoulder, nuzzling my cheek. I smiled, petting Pikachus head. I sighed.

"Alright. I'll do it." I said. Ash, Pikachu and Rotom cheered. I took a couple steps forward.

"Go, Lycanroc!" I threw my pokeball, out came my midday Lycanroc. Lycanroc let out a fierce howl, ready for battle.

"Battle begin!" Rotom says.

~~After the Battle~~

3rd POV

Y/ns Lycanroc fell on the ground, unconscious.

"Y/ns Lycanroc is unable to battle, Tapu Koko is the winner!" Rotom declared. Y/n walked towards her Lycanroc. She knelt down, Lycanroc opening its eyes.

"You did amazing Lycanroc, take a good rest." Y/n says, returning Lycanroc back in its pokeball. Y/n stood up, Tapu Koko approached her. Y/n gave a smile at the island guardian.

"It was fun battling you. Maybe we should battle again sometime." Y/n says. Tapu Koko nodded. Rotom suddenly freaked out.

"ASH! Y/N! WE HAVE TO GET HOME! PROFESSOR KUKUI IS PROBABLY WAITING FOR US!" Rotom exclaimed. Ash looked a little panicked, and told Y/n they have to go.

"Bye Tapu Koko. See you again soon." Y/n says, waving at Tapu Koko. Ash and Y/n ran back home, luckily in time for dinner.

~~At night~~

Y/n's POV

I tossed and turned in my sleep, then opened my eyes. I sighed.

'Why can't I sleep?' I thought. I slowly got out of my sleeping bag and put on my shoes. I opened the patio door, walked down the steps and admired the beautiful ocean. I found a log to sit on, and relaxed myself.

"I wonder why Tapu Koko wanted to battle me." I muttered, thinking back at the memory. I suddenly heard a familiar cry, filling up the night. I got up from my seat, and started to look around. Out of nowhere, Tapu Koko was right infront of me. Like before, my eyes widened, but I smiled.

"I had a feeling I'd see you again." I said. Tapu Koko backed away a little, then leaned on the log I was sitting on. I sat beside Tapu Koko, seeing the waves come and go. I felt a warm hand on mine. I looked at Tapu Koko, then gave it a small smile.

"Tapu Koko." I said, breaking the silence. The island guardian looked at me, giving a nod to continue my sentence.

"How come you wanted to battle me, instead of Ash?" I asked. It thought for a moment, then floated up from its spot. I stood up as well. It turned towards me, then made a circle picture. Just like a video, it started to play. I saw me and Ash walking to the Pokèmon school, talking.

(Just a flash back)

"Come on Y/n, please. Pretty please." Ash begged.

"Sorry Ash, you know I don't battle that much anymore." I answered.

"But battling is super fun! Remember we used to battle together?" Ash reminded. I thought about it. I sighed.

"Fine. Just this once." I said in defeat. Ash looked psyched as ever.

(Time skip, in the flash back)

Me and Ash were ready to battle. I sent out my Espeon, Ash sent out his Pikachu. Long story short, Espeon defeated Pikachu. I returned my Espeon, Ash taking his Pikachu in his arms.

"Ok, I'll admit. That was fun." I admitted, slightly smiling.

(End of flash back)

3rd POV

Y/n started to smile, looking at Tapu Koko. She took two steps forward, then wrapped her arms around the island guardians neck, hugging it. Tapu Koko hugged back, its hand on Y/ns waist. Y/n let's go of Tapu Kokos neck, but its arms still on her waist.

"You're right, I should battle more often." Y/n says, Tapu Koko nods. Tapu Koko engulfed Y/n in one more hug, Y/ns hands on its chest. Tapu Koko gave a 'kiss' on Y/ns head, as they both slowly pulled away from the hug.

"Good night Tapu Koko, see you in the morning." Y/n says, walking back up the stairs. As Y/n opened the door, she gave Tapu Koko a smile, then went inside.
