Hanji's POV
I thought he was a cold man who never had any feelings. Never a man who had a gentle side. He was the one person that took full responsibility for me. And because of him, I can't trust anyone but him. He never betrayed me- even when it looked like he would. I tried to find every ounce of hatred towards him, but it was gone. I only respect him.
Once my wounds fully healed, he was helping me speak again. I've never thought he'll be so gentle...
"I..." I tried speaking in a raspy voice as he poured water from a metal jug. "I lied."
"About what?"
I closed my eyes, leaning my head into my pillows. "I... not... female titan." I winced in embarrassment, not being able to say full sentences. But he seemed to get it.
"Why did you lie about it?"
"Don't know." Why did I lie about it? Then, I remembered. I wanted to have the female titan, but since I failed some physical tests for it, I was held back. That part was true. But because of my intelligence, they didn't want me to be put on the front lines. Just like Zeke, we wouldn't be put directly into the fight, but we would stay back. "I... not good."
The captain sighed, giving me a cup of water. "I'll be back."
"Don't," I called out, but he ignored me. I hear the click of the door, and I want to feel safe. I want to believe that there is no other key. But I can't help but always feel uneasy whenever I'm alone. How many days have I been alone?

A few more hours until he came back. He helped feed me with a spoon. I tried to tell him I was fine, but he kept feeding me. I wanted to leave. I wanted to go back home. I wanted to be with my parents for a little longer. Not stuck here as a prisoner. Not being treated like a baby. But I'm powerless here.
After he was done, he began to clean up the place. Once the room was cleaned, I tried to ask him for a book. But my voice became hoarse that I couldn't get it out of my throat. He had to lean in front of me to listen to my wants. But I got tired and fell forward, falling onto his shoulder. I expected him to toss me back in disgust, but he didn't.
He gently laid me back into bed before giving my book back and leaving the room.
A cold-hearted man has a warm heart...

Levi's POV
Armin was shaking his head in confusion when I told him my report of Hanji's well-being. I asked him what he thinks I should do with her after her small action she did earlier. I couldn't tell if it was on purpose or on accident, considering that she's still healing after her attack. And surprisingly, Armin gave an answer I thought Erwin would say to someone else.
"Play into it." Armin looked at me, becoming confident in himself. "If it's an accident, she'll back away. If it's not, she's trusting you more, and it could mean she could give us more answers to our questions about Marley."
"You did hear the part where she lied about her attempting to get that crystal brat's power, right?"
"I... I did. She admits her lie. And I don't consider this... useful. I know I always have to be careful, but what's the point of lying what she could've been if she doesn't have access to it? And we'll know about the other titans soon. Maybe she can help determine what other titans there are- and which ones Marley has. As I said, play into it."
I'm playing games with her again. We'll see what's going on now...
