Sodor is a place of happiness and joy. A place where living engines work. However things go horribly wrong as a disease spreads throughout the island turning people into monsters hungry for flesh.
We were leaving the Iron Works and Oliver was apologizing like there was no tomorrow. He said he couldn't risk the lives of everyone else and went back down the line towards Cronk to drop everyone off. Thomas said it was alright, he was just glad to be alive and I had to agree. Oliver said that there was some good that came from this. We didn't know what he meant till we met with everyone else at Cronk.
Oliver wasn't kidding when he said some good came from this. There with everyone else was Gordon. He was in surprisingly great shape; he was missing a buffer and he had a few dents and cuts here and there as well as blood that coated his wheels. We had no idea how he managed to outrun that helicopter but we didn't dare question it. Sadly with this good news there was some bad news. Yes Gordon was in great shape physically, but his mentality was just fucked. He was far worse than Thomas and mumbled about his passengers and the helicopter.

Thankfully Gordon wasn't just some deadweight; his driver Kieth was still alive and we asked what the hell had happened to them. I'll need a good amount of space to write as they had quiet the adventure.

They had just finished getting turned around for the express' return journey. While they were waiting Sir Topham Hatt exited the nearby office he seemed quite nervous, something was clearly bothering him. Kieth and Frank talked with him asking if everything was alright and Topham said that it was just someone trying to modernize the railway. Gordon overheard this and went on a rant about the other railway and how steam engines deserved better. They couldn't agree more. That was when they heard the sound of screaming from the town nearby people dashed into the station looking for cover as zombies flooded in behind them. The entire station was in a panic, people were pushing and shoving others out of the way trying to get into the express. They then heard the sound of vehicles and helicopters nearby and tons of armed men entered and opened fire on the crowd. Frank made the mistake of looking outside the cab and was immediately shot dead. His body tumbled out and fell onto Topham. His bodyguards tried to help but were attacked by zombies. They heard an order from who they assumed to be the commander to "Terminate number four he's made contact". Kieth threw on Gordon's throttle and they raced out of the station with the express running over countless zombies and civilians while being tailed by several trucks and a helicopter. Kieth looked back to see the armed men pointing their guns at Topham who was still on the ground. They had no idea what happened to him. They raced down the line as fast as they possibly could while under fire and by the time they reached Cronk almost no one in the express had survived.

Once they finished everyone was silent nobody knew what to say. I mean how the fuck do you respond to something like that. Topham was the man we thought could fix all of this and now he might be dead. Gordon went into another episode and the other engines were comforting him. Why the hell did this have to happen?
